Tristan Wade’s seat did not stay empty for very long and the table did not get any easier when the new player took a seat.

Stewart Newman, another Florida pro, took the vacant spot and trying to avoid the pitfalls of Wade before him.

Tristan Wade

We caught the last part of a big hand involving Florida poker legend Tristan Wade. He was in a multi-way pot to the 8h7d6c flop and was heads-up by the time the board finished with the 8s and 9d,

Wade put his chips in the middle with a ten-high rivered straight holding TcTd but his opponent caught better with the jack-high straight JsTs. Wade was in good shape until he made a straight.

We expect to see the WSOP bracelet/WSOP Circuit ring winner again before the day is through.

The prize pool topped $250,000 over the last few levels and it will be a race to see if we can double up the $150,000 to $300,000 before registration closes tomorrow at noon.

The players keep churning through the system and we have new faces joining the original gang. Oneil McCalla and Abbey Daniels were among the recently departed along with a big group of others.

McCalla has been a regular face in our tournaments for years, both big and small. He won his first title here back in 2012 during the Everglades Poker Open and he earned another during the 2013 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open.

They keep showing up and we keep giving them seats. Every table in the poker room is currently in use, either in the tournament or cash games, and it’s a great day to be a poker player.

Ory Hen did not have to wait for his seat, he was here bright and early. The 2015 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year has a handful of SHRP tournament wins including three Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open titles and he won the big $1,650 event during this series in 2015.

Zach Mullennix

Players returned to their seats after the first break and cards went flying once again. We have a steady group of players processing their way through registration and the poker room is jumping this afternoon.

But no one is running away with a massive stack like the two previous days when we had multiple players over 100K after three levels. Zach Mullennix is the sole owner of a triple-digit stack and his 105,000 led the way coming back to Level 4.
