Flight B of the $570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry) drew 313 entries, and along with the 342 from Flight A there are a total of 655 through two starting flights.

Among those hopping into the field before registration closed was World Poker Tour commentator Tony Dunst.

This Saturday at 11:00 a.m., there will be a LearnWPT Ladies Poker Brunch. It precedes a 90-minute instructional class for beginners which will be hosted by Dunst.

During this class, five seats will be awarded for the $250 Ladies Event that will kick off at 3 p.m. and features a $10,000 guarantee. Signups are available in the poker room, and there is a 50-seat maximum. It is $50 to register with the raffle for seats taking place at 1:15 p.m.

Robert Brown has been among the big stacks for most of the day and now he owns the biggest. He was heads-up against an opponent with the flop reading and moved all in for ~120,000.

His was in bad shape against kings-up but had a flush draw/gutshot draw to stay in the game. The turn filled his straight and he dodged a boat on the river to move up to 325,000.

The first flight of the opening event on the Showdown schedule is in the final hour of its day as we get ready to kick off the second. Flight A drew 342 entries to the $570 buy-in tournament to put it on an easy pace to hit the $1,000,000 Guarantee.

Event 1 players will start out with 20,000 stacks and all Day 1 levels last 30 minutes. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 6:30pm with unlimited re-entries during that time. They will play through 14 levels and survivors will bag up for Day 2 on Sunday.
