It didn’t take long at all. The prize pool for Event 3 is now over $200,000 and it will continue to climb until we close registration tomorrow at noon.
Gil Guadalpi is another player who made a deep run in Event 1. He finished in 12th place and making another push today. Guadalpi is up to 140,000 and among the leaders at the midpoint of the flight.

The entry count is up to 160 for Flight B to leave Event 3 only a few new ones from topping a $200,000 prize pool. It will get there soon and we’ll look for the next milestone. Already a successful tournament, now it’s just going to grow.
We found two players sitting side by side who both had a long grind this weekend. Luis Dominguez and Nathan Rosenberg both went deep in the opening event and made it all the way to the 3 am stop for Day 2 of Event 1. They came back on Monday for some extra poker with Rosenberg finished 11th out of 1,083 and Dominguez made it to ninth.

The first break is complete and players are back in their seats with 130 entries in Flight B so far. That pushed the prize pool over $180,000 and the $150,000 guarantee is in the rearview mirror.
No one is running away with a monster stack yet but Rasam Mohammadian is making a run. He is up to 108,300 and leading the field in the early levels.

We continue deeper into the May Deep Stack Poker Series schedule with the final flight of the $600 Deeper Stacks tournament. Event 3 has a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool and the 219 entries from Flight A left the field only 67 short of the mark.
That number will be hit early in the day and we’ll continue to build it up throughout the day.
Players start with 40,000 stacks out front and all Day 1 levels last 40 minutes. They increase to 60 minutes on Day 2 and go up to 90 starting with Level 23. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Day 2 on Wednesday at noon so there’s plenty of time to join.
Cards go in the air at 10 am and we will pick up coverage at the first break.

The $600 Deeper Stack tournament is the next event on deck and they get underway at 10 am with the first of two starting flights. Flight A run today with Flight B getting running on Tuesday.
Players start with 40,000 stacks and play 40-minutes levels on Day 1. They increase to 60 minutes on Day 2 and up to 90 starting with Level 23. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Day 2 on Wednesday at noon.
Flight A will continue into the evening and survivors at the end of Level 14 will bag their chips for Day 2.
