Svi Soudai

Unlike yesterday, there was no slowdown after the final break of the day. A few players re-entered but the field is only two eliminations from ending their day.

Unless more buy-in, then it might tweak that number.

Matthew Ehlrich’s lead was shortlived and Svi Soudai is back out front with 490,000. That’s good enough for the lead and he has a chance to surpass Michael Newman’s 503,000 that he bagged last night.

Level 12: 1,500/2,500 with a 2,500 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 46 of 283

The action picked up over the last level before the last break. Flight B is down to 46 players with 35 being the magic number for an early hard stop to the day.

This happened yesterday as well but the bustouts slowed after the break so it’s a coin flip if we get there.

Event 1 Flight B: Huge Sidepot Gives Matthew Ehrlich the Lead

Matthew Ehlrich

Svi Soudai’s reign at the top of the leaderboard was shortlived, but he was there to witness the carnage. Matthew Ehrlich opened the action, Chad Millward came along next to act, and Francis Margaglione moved all in right after for 60,000.

The small blind player called all in for less, Ehrlich moved all in over the top and Millward came along for the huge, four-way all in pot.

Small blind: AcKc
Ehrlich: KdKh
Millward: QsQh
Margaglione: AdKs

The kings were in great shape and Ehrlich had everyone covered with the biggest stack but the Ah9s7s flop changed that in a hurry. Margaglione and the small blind player were in line for their chopped up double and they had it after the Jc turn and Ts river.

They paid out the main pot and then went to work on the side pot. Both Millward and Ehrlich had a lot of chips with all of Millward’s 236,000 going to his neighbor while he went to re-enter.

Ehlrich moved up to 485,000 for the lead and go in contention for Michael Newman’s overall chip lead of 503,000 from Flight A.

Level 11: 1,000/2,000 with a 2,000 ante
Flight B Players Remaining: 81 of 283

Svi Soudai

Svi Soudai was already in the lead but he extended it after sending another player out. He was sitting with 274,000 when an early position player shoved for 37,000. Soudai moved all in over the top and the big blind player thought about coming along.

He released and Soudai was in great shape with AcKs dominating KdQs. They both hit the Kh8c3h flop but Soudai was still outkicking his opponent. The board finished 3s and 9c to push Soudai’s stack over 300,000.

Jon Borenstein

The field continues to grow even as tables are broken down. We are down to nine tables with 81 players but that will fluctuate as new players join.

Jon Borenstein is making his first appearance of the series and he’s already more than tripled his 30,000 starting stack. It was a different story for Tristan Wade when the Florida pro was a quick enter and exit after dinner.

Chad Millward

Cards are back in the air and Chad Millward continues to set the pace at the top of the leaderboard. He began his day with a 30,000 stack, ran it up to 130,000 before the first break, and went on the second with 245,000.

That’s halfway to Michael Newman’s end-of-day chip lead for Flight A with nine more levels to go. Former SHRP champ Francis Margaglione appears to be the only other player over 200,000 but they have six hours to build a bag.

Top stacks and notable counts:
