Event 11: Double For David

$250 Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 16:  Blinds 2,000/4,000/500 ante

It turns out Alexander Daranyi can lose a hand.

David Rodriguez got Daranyi to call a 6d2h5h holding As5c.  Rodriguez flipped over K-K.  The kings held up and Rodriguez has seriously closed the gap on Daranyi and creating a wall of chips on the right side of the table.

Ten players still remain for the top prize of $5,642 here in Event 11.

Level 16:  Blinds 2,000/4,000/500 ante

Two simultaneous eliminations have brought us to the final table of Event 11.

Patrick Schortemeyer was all-in against with AhQc vs the 6c6s of Gedas Bertulis.  Schortemeyer was standing ready to head out the door but flopped the Qh and started to sit back down.  But the 6d showed up on the turn given Bertulis the set and Schortemeyer’s bounty.

At the same time on the other table, Joseph Calabria saw his night ended as well bringing us to 10 players and the final table re-draw. Alexander Daranyi still leads the way with a massive chip lead. He had 567,000 chips at last count – 33.7% of the chips in play.

Event 11: You Know You’re Running Well When….

$250 Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 15:  Blinds 1,500/3,000/500 ante

Chip leader Alexander Daranyi just keeps rolling.

First, he ended up in a hand with Jason Levine.  On an AsKsQsJh9s board, Levine was stunned when Daranyi flipped over the Ts for the near-royal flush to win the hand.

And shortly afterward, Daranyi ended up in a flip against Bassel Eissa with 6h6d vs. AhQd.  Daranyi’s sixes held on a low board and he gets another bounty trimming the field to 12.

Darayni has said he hasn’t lost a flip yet and the rest of the field is starting to realize it’s going to be an uphill fight to catch him here in Event 11.

Event 11: Goreau Gone, 13 Left

$250 Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 15:  Blinds 1,500/3,000/500 ante

Phillipe Goreau did not enjoy his last two hands.

After thinking he’d been eliminated in a hand with Jospeh Marchese having his A-10 run down by K-J, it turned out he was left with under one big blind holding 2,000 chips.

David Rodriguez finished the job and got the bounty with KcKs vs 7s4s .  With no miracle comeback, Goreau was out in 14th place for $339 and bounties collected.

Event 11: Break Time, 15 Remain

$250 Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 14:  Blinds 1,200/2,400/400 ante

The conbination of the two table re-draw and the money bubble breaking brought three fast eliminations including a collusion between Joseph Calabria and Daniel Alanso.

Both players had pushed their chips to the middle on a Th5c6s9s5c with Calabria flipping over AsTc vs. Alanso’s JsTd.  Calabria took the hand and after the chips were counted had Alanso covered.

With the three eliminations, Alanso finished 16th, Jaime Rodrigquez exited in 17th and Ofer Greenberg was out in 18th.

The remaining players will continue on chasing the first prize of $5,642 and the championship trophy in Event 11.

Level 14:  Blinds 1,200/2,400/400 ante

The chip leader took care of business and put everyone in the money.

Alexander Daranyi got in a battle with Francis Navia.  With the board paired and three clubs, Navia made the push and was called.  With a king on the board, Navia flipped over K-10 for top pair but Daranyi showed AcTc for the nut flush.  Navia saw the flush and exited in 19th place bubbling the tourney.

Seats are being re-drawn and the new draws will be posted shortly.
