Event 12: Steven Bennett – 8th Place ($2,903)

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 15: Blinds 1,200/2,400/400 ante

Steven Bennett was the only player in real danger after the break and was whittled down to just 12,700 in the small blind. He moved all-in and Larry Klur called after looking at one card, the Ah.

Klur was ahead with Ah5d against Jh6h. The dealer put the Jd in the window but it was followed by the Ad and 9d. The diamonds made things a little tougher for Bennett to stay alive and he was gone after the board ran out 8h9h.

Klur picked up the small pot and Bennett was the first to get paid, picking up $2,903 for 8th place.

Event 12: Quick Bubble

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 13: Blinds 800/1,600/200 ante

It only took a few hands after Macey’s elimination to find more action at the final table.

Richard Meyer bet out 10,000 after a Th7c4c flop and Abbey Daniel’s moved all-in for 49,200. Meyer counted out the calling chips and did some deep thinking.

Meyer eventually called to see he was behind with Ts9s versus Daniels’ AcTc.

“Let’s see a Nine,” Meyer laughed.

It showed up promptly in the form of a 9h turn. No miracle on the river for Daniels and the former WPT final tablist was gone in 9th place, one spot shy of the money.

Event 12: Bubble Time

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 13: Blinds 800/1,600/200 ante

It was going to take a big hand to get things moving and it happened shortly after they took their seats.

Thomas Macey three-bet pre-flop after a Santana Noronha raise and they both saw the Tx6x3x flop. All the chips ended up in the middle when Macey saw the damage, his AdAh was outflopped by 6x6x.

The turn/river finished Qx7x to send Macey out in 10th and put them on the bubble.

Event 12: Fischer Sent Out; Final Table Set

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 13: Blinds 800/1,600/200 ante

Ross Fischer wasn’t the shortest stack on either table but he was battling most of the day. He was able to bounce back before the last break but took a shot at a double up with Ah7d.

He was racing against Richard Meyer’s 4s4h but never caught as the board ran out Qc9s8s5cKd.

Staff are redrawing seats and we’ll have the new lineup when they are in place. Ten players remain but only eight will earn any money.

Event 12: Meyer Doubles

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 12: Blinds 600/1,200/200 ante

There was a little excitement at Table 7 just before the first break of the day.

Larry Klur moved all-in with the board reading Jd5c2c]6d] and Richard Meyer went deep into thought as the one at risk. He talked it through out loud, said he was only worried about one hand, and then called with 6d6h.

Klur stood up and took his time tabling his hand but his Jacks Up Jh2h were a dog to the turned set. Klur couldn’t boat up on the 9d river and he sent over an extra 106,000 to Meyer.

There are still 11 players remaining and they will return to action in 15 minutes.
