Event 12: No Hurry

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 12: Blinds 600/1,200/200 ante

There’s going to plenty of play in this tournament. The most exciting moment since Todd Stabinski’s elimination was David Jackson laying down two pair correctly after a big raise from Blake Ovind with the rivered nut flush.

The blinds have crawled up one more level but they won’t be putting pressure on the stacks for a few hours.

If we get one more elimination, staff will pause the clock and redraw for the final table.

The eleven remaining:

Event 12: One Stabinski Gone

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 11: Blinds 500/1,000/100 ante

Brothers Daren and Todd Stabinski both made Day 2 but only one remains.

Todd was the technical short stack but was still sitting with 34 big blinds, plenty of room to make moves to get back in the game.

He was involved in a pot with Santana Noronha that went sideways in a hurry. The hand was friendly enough until Stabinski moved all-in after the 9s7h6c flop and Noronha made one of the fastest calls you’ll see.

“I flopped the nuts!”

Noronha tabled 8s5s and Stabinski’s AdAc needed a miracle run out. The 3c turn was not what he needed to come back and was drawing dead to go out in 12th spot.

Event 12: Check Up

$1,100 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 2: 50/100

With most of the attention on the looming bubble in Event 9, there are some heavy hitters in the small, talented Event 12 field.

The $1,100 price tag on the event is one of the biggest of the series and 50 entrants are already in the field as the move into the second hour, aiming to top the $75,000 guarantee.

They are sitting at a handful of tables in the back corner and include Nancy Birnbaum, Abbey Daniels, Angel Vu, Darren Stabinski, Elliott Zaydman, Larry Klur, and Raminder Singh.

Still plenty of time to get in the game and there will be some big money on the line when they return tomorrow.
