Event 17: Snowmen Scoop

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)
End of Level 11: Blinds 500/1,000/100 ante

Andrew Boccia makes it 2200 to go from the hijack position. The player in seat 5 has the big blind and moves all in for about 10K. Roy Cohen calls from middle position. Boccia tanks for a bit before re-shoving for 21,400 total. Cohen makes the call. The cards are turned up:

Boccia: 8s8c
Seat 5: 4d4c
Cohen: KcQc

The board comes 7c9h9d2c2s and Boccia makes the better 2 pair, Eights and Nines to scoop up the pot and eliminate his opponent in the big blind and take a chunk from Cohen’s stack. Boccia has about 55K.

Players are currently on their 15 minute break. They’ll be returning to Level 12, blinds of 600/1200/ 200 ante. 360 players remain in Day 1C.

Event 17: Frankenberger Felted

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)

Level 11:  Binds 500/1,000/100 ante

On a flop of Jh8d5d Andy Frankenberger (utg) bet and got a call from Randall Flowers on the button.  Turn was the Ad and Andy took some time before announcing he was all-in.  Randall called.

Andy had TsTd and was in bad shape against Randall’s AsJs (pair of Aces).  River was the Ah adding salt to the wound.  Randall chipped up to ~57k.

Andy was busted and said “no more re-entries, right?”  That’s correct.  The former WPT Player of the Year hit the exit.

Abe Mosseri
Abe Mosseri

Abe Mosseri got all-in on a flop of 9c5d4h in a multi-way pot.  Everyone folded but the player on his right, who called.

Abe had J9 for top pair and was ahead of his opponent’s 42 offsuit (pair of 4s).  The last two were 7d3h and Abe doubled up to about 40k.

Then he gave some back on a subsequent hand, dropping back to 25k.
