2022 Poker Showdown Limit Omaha 8 Champion Leonard August

The 2022 Poker Showdown had three Limit Omaha 8 tournaments on the schedule with escalating stakes until Event 26 kicked off on April 6. The $1,100 Limit Omaha 8 Championship drew 67 players for the freeze-out format and Leonard August walked away with the title along with $18,000.

Nine players returned for Day 2, all final table players in the money and shooting for the title. Despite a lot of chips in play, the final table quickly played down to a heads-up match between August and “Jeter” Brock.

Brock had the lead but August quickly took over and held a slight lead when the two decided to split up the remaining prize pool. Brock earned $17,750 for his second straight runner-up finish in this tournament (2nd in 2021 SHRPO Limit Omaha 8 Championship).

August earned $18,000 for the win plus his first Hollywood trophy!
