Event 6: Nuts No Good?

$560 Black Chip Bount No Limit Hold’em / PLO (Re-Entry)
Level 5: 100/200

Bradley Young was the beneficiary of a timely river on the last hand at Table 57 while the rest of the field was on break. He was all-in against the 1-seat and Dimas Martinez after Martinez flopped the nut straight in PLO. Young was on a heart draw and missed the turn before hitting the river. He knocked one out for a bounty and moved up to 30,925 going off to a shortened break.

“I flopped the nuts,” Martinez told the room, “How did I lose?”

“That’s a silly question in PLO,” TJ Shulman laughed.

Top five break-time chip counts:

Michael Wang – 52,950
Wade Walker – 42,600
Kevin Ho – 35,875
Bradley Young – 30,925
Robert Campbell – 28,975

Event 6: NLH/PLO Black Chip Bounty Underway

$560 Black Chip Bount No Limit Hold’em / PLO (Re-Entry)
Level 1: 25/50

Event 6 has one of the more popular formats of the series with something for all tastes. It is a mix of No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha with a $100 bounty on each player. Everybody loves No Limit Hold’em, PLO brings out the action junkies, and the bounty bonus encourages a little more gamble than most tournaments.

Players begin with 12,000 stacks and 30-minute levels until the registration/re-entry period ends at the start of Level 7. They will switch to 40-minute levels at that point then play down to a winner.

The half-and-half event will be based on the number of hands played with the game switching from NLH to PLO and back again every nine hands.

Cards are in the air and we will be here all day with live updates.
