Event 7: Bunkley Busted

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 31: Blinds 60,000/120,000/20,000 ante

Antuan Bunkley’s timing couldn’t have been worse.

In a blind vs. blind battle against Ginny Smythe, Bunkley ran sixes into Smythe’s aces and was crippled.

His dreams went up in smoke as he was down to three big blinds and went all in with two callers.  After the board ran out, Elie Joseph ended up hitting a pair while Bunkley missed the board and ended up in 11th place.

Players are now at the final table and seats are being redrawn here in Event 7.

Event 7: Triple Trouble

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 30: Blinds 50,000/100,000/15,000 ante

Two simultaneous eliminations sent our 13th and 14th place finishers to the rail.  Then one more player went down two hands later.

First on Table 14, Jeremy Goureau went all in with 3’s against the A-9 of Sean Shah.  Shah hit an A on the flop and Goureau went down in 14th.

Then on Table 15, Ross Fischer put away Jacob Naumann.  Naumann’s A-K took the lead on the flop but Fischer holding jacks hit another jack on the turn and ended Naumann’s night in 13th.

Lawrence Smith was the next victim.  After doubling up going all-in with aces, Smith pushed with 10’s but was knocked out by Luis Pires holding A-K when he got there with an ace on the flop.

So just like that, we’re down to 11 and one away from our unofficial final table here in Event 7 and the red chips 100k chips have now been put in play.

Event 7: Quintero Out, 14 Remain, Chop Chat

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 29: Blinds 40,000/80,000/10,000 ante

Giovanni Quintero has been knocked out in 15th Place.  All four eliminations since the tournament reached 18 players have taken place on Table 14.  Antuan Buckley is the next person to be moved over to see if he can hang on at this brutal table to reach our final nine players.

Interestingly, quite a few players have been discussing a chop right now.  An even deal would give everyone $9,994 for an investment of $150.  No action on it yet but it still would be an outstanding payday for everyone.

Event 7: Three Down

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 27: Blinds 25,000/50,000/5,000 ante

The Flash-like pace continues in Event 7.  In a matter of minutes, three more players are gone.  Patrick Hughes was eliminated in 18th followed by Michael Larkin in 17th and Eric Brewster in 16th.

At some points this tournament is going to tighten up but right now it almost seems like a race to the title.  Don’t blink in this one.

Event 7: “The Maestro”

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 26:  Blinds 20,000/40,000/4,000

To say Andrei “The Maestro” Ebrahimpour has boundless energy is an understatement. During last night’s Flight 1F and today’s Day 2, Ebrahimpour has been constantly up and down out of his chair and keep his tables upbeat with his constant banter. The carpet is nearly worn down from him leaving his seat and talking to his friend on the rail who put him in the tournament and he’s had a happy-go-lucky attitude being short-stacked nearly all the way through to this final 27.

He may have made a mistake when he got three of the blue 25k chips and proclaimed “I haven’t had any of these all tournament!” and then realized the jinx possibilities he’d just opened up.

No matter what, Andrei has brought some life and excitement to Event 7 as he tries to claim the $46,832 first prize.

Event 7: Willie Wiggins Wins A Wild One

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 26:  Blinds 20,000/40,000/4,000 ante

Willie Wiggins just stole the show.

Wiggins called a massive all-in on a 7c7d6d flop and then got a third caller setting up a three million chip pot.

Wiggins held AdJd against Ac7h and Qd9d. The 5c came on the turn leaving one player dead and Wiggins hoping for a diamond.

The Kd came on the river and Wiggins celebrated the big win. His two opponents were crippled and are now out of the tournament. Wiggins is now the chip leader with 27 players remaining.
