The black 100 chips are gone and players are back on the felt for the last 30 minute level of the day.

Players who bust out before the end still have plenty of chances to try again.  Here’s the schedule for the next 4 flights:

Flight C:  Friday 11am
Flight D:  Friday 7pm
Flight E:  Saturday 11am
Flight F:  Saturday 7pm

If a player ends the night with a few chips left, they can opt to surrender those chips and play a subsequent flight.  If they bag those chips, however, they cannot play again.  There is no ‘best stack’ option during this series.

They’re approaching the last break of the night at the end of the level and David Jackson appears to be running away with the chip lead.  He’s up to ~360k with his sights set on the $1,000 chip leader bonus.

Brian Hawkins bagged 451,500 at the end of Flight A, good for the first flight’s chip leader bonus.  All six flights will award the $1,000 cash bonus to the player that bags the most chips.

Players are back from the break and fewer than 100 remain in the hunt for that elusive plastic bag that means they’ve made it through to Day 2.

Only 82 players out of 377 entries in Flight A made the cut.  With only 302 entries in this flight, the number of survivors should be smaller.

They’ll play two levels, take a short color-up break, then come back for level 15 which will be the last level played today.

Another WSOP bracelet winner has reported to the rail.  Tyler Patterson picked up his first bracelet this summer in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha event.  The Everett, WA resident has reported tournament earnings approaching $1.5 million.

Tyler fired in both Flight A and Flight B today with no luck.  He’ll be back on the felt at 11am Friday for Flight C, hoping bullet #3 is the magic one.

Natasha Barbour Raimon made her Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open debut today in Flight B, but has already departed. She’ll be back tomorrow at 11am in Flight C.

She honed her skills on the felt at the Seminole Hard Rock Tampa while going to college.  The story of her journey from Beirut, Lebanon, where she was born, to professional poker player was told during the Spring Poker Open in Tampa.  You can read it here.

After making the final table of the Championship in Tampa, she went on to cash twice as this summer’s WSOP.

Registration for Flight B closed at the start of Level 7 with an (unofficial) count of 302 entrants.

The field has dwindled to fewer than 200 players remaining.  One of those who has departed is Greg ‘Fossilman’ Raymer.  He summed it up in his Tweet:
