Event 9: Last Level Before Break

$570 Deeper Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 12: Blinds 800/1,600/200

The second flight of Event 9 has dropped under 54 players and they’re getting very loud in the front corner of the room.

Still plenty of big names left in the running for bagging chips with Carolyn Zegeer in the running for end of chip leader along with Bret Bader, Victor Figueroa, Daren Stabinski, Ross Fischer, and Robert Campbell.

One more level and we’ll grab more counts and finish up the night in the early morning.

Event 9: Flight A Done for the Day

$570 Deeper Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 14: Blinds 1,200/2,400/400 ante

The first flight of Event 9 is in the book with 44 of the starting 177 still around to put chips in bag.

Sascha Walter was well on top of the chip counts as the final level rolled around until he got involved in a hand with Ryan Van Sanford. Walter was closing in on a 300,000 stack and had Van Sanford in trouble with 9x9x versus 7s7c.

Walter had a virtual stranglehold on the hand when he flopped a set on the Kd9c8c board. Van Sanford needed a perfect running board and got it. The turn brought the 7h and the river spiked the one out 7d to drop Walter down.

He bagged up 210,000 at the end of the level while our mysterious player who wishes to remain anonymous topped the standings with 232,000 at the end of play.

$570 Deeper Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 10: Blinds 500/1,000/100 ante

Table 9 has quite the lineup in the 7/8/9 seats, a tough path for opponents to get through.

Seat 7 holds Darryll “DFish” Fish (Cape Coral, FL) with his $1.4 million in career live tournament earnings (plus another $1.8 online), three WPT final tables, and two WSOP final tables.

Seat 8 is occupied by Angel Vu (South Daytona, FL). Reigning Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year with over $200,000 in career earnings and the winner of the $1,100 Six-Max tournament just a few days ago.

Seat 9 has Stewart Newman (Coral Gables, FL) and his $600,000 in career earnings including a WTP Regional Main Event title at Seminole Coconut Creek in 2012.

Good luck rest of the table.
