SHRP team member Jessica Dawley all in near the money

With 47 players remaining and 46 getting paid, SHRP team member Jessica Dawley saw a player move all in from early position for 72,000 and she shipped in over the top for more from the button. The blinds released and the hands were tabled.

Dawley: QdQh
Opponent: 6h6c

Dawley was dominating before the flop and all but locked up the hand on the Qs5h2s flop. The As turn had her opponent drawing dead to 47th place and it was time for bubble play.

Tournament staff paused the clock, made the necessary instructions, and began the process of bursting the money bubble play.

The Monster Stack field is taking its final break of the day as the 500 denom chips coming out of play and six tables remain. They will return and play three more levels, 45-minutes a pop, before the survivors bag up for a Day 2 return tomorrow.

Tyler Rueger appears to be the late leader and approaching 400,000 with Josias Santos not far behind with 350,000.

Monster Stack: Sheddy Bounces Back

$365 Monster Stack NLH (Single Re-Entry)
Level 18: 2,500/5,000 with a 500 ante | Payouts

Sheddy Siddiqui

The Monster Stack field lost 20 players in one level but one of them was not SHRP team member Sheddy Siddiqui.

Despite the previously mentioned bad beat, Siddiqui bounced back from around 30,000 after getting his aces cracked and now sits with 160,000 as players drop all around him.

Monster Stack: Crackin’ Aces

$365 Monster Stack NLH (Single Re-Entry)
Level 17: 2,000/4,000 with a 500 ante | Payouts
Players Remaining:  81 of 430

Luiz Guimaraes

The Monster Stack returned from the dinner break and players went right to work. They are down to the last nine tables after one level and the bad beats aren’t hurting the pace.

We saw aces getting cracked at the same table within three hands of each other to put an exclamation point on it.

The first saw Luiz Guimaraes open and call a three-bet shove for 30,000 with KdQh. His opponent had AsAc before Guimaraes flopped top pair/open-ended straight draw on the QdJsTh board that got there on the Ah turn. He had to dodge some boat outs but finished off the beat on the 4d river to go up to 180,000.

Two hands later, SHRP team member Sheddy Siddiqui opened the action to 6,000 and picked up two callers. Another player moved all in for ~50,000 and Siddiqui shoved for ~86,000. The other two players released and it was Siddiqui with the rockets.

Siddiqui: AdAc
Opponent: AhTc

The Qs4h2s flop was harmless and one of Siddiqui’s tablemates, not in the hand, asked for a sweat card. It came on the Ts turn and the second cracking was complete on the trip ten Td river.

Event 4: Lots of Rings

$580 Six-Max NLH (Single Re-Entry)
Level 6: 150/300 with a 25 ante | Structure
Entries: 127

Cory Waaland

We expect to see a lot of WSOP Circuit heroes over the next two weeks and we have two of the biggest winners in the field today. One local and one traveler with 15 rings between them.

Ari Engel is a regular in SHRP events and the added bonus of having a WSOP Circuit stop was sure to have him back. Engel owns eight and at one point held the record for most WSOPC wins.

Cory Waaland sits one behind Engel with seven WSOP Circuit titles of his own, good enough for top ten overall.

Neither has picked up WSOPC jewelry since March 2016, maybe this is the event that moves them up one spot.

Event 4: Sullivan and Eyzaguirre Together Again

$580 Six-Max NLH (Single Re-Entry)
Level 4: 100/200 | Structure
Entries: 103

Russell Sullivan

The Six-Max event climbed over 100 entries as players prepared for their first break of the day. They are spread throughout the back of the ballroom and the short-handed tables seem plenty active.

Russell Sullivan and Ricardo Eyzaguirred grabbed their seats in the game and are joined together at the same table. As WSOP Circuit regulars, they have spent other table-time together and yesterday they each went deep in the opening event.

There were 1,612 entries in that tournament and Eyzaguirre made it down to 36th place and Sullivan went out in 24th. Each fell short of winning their second WSOP Circuit ring but this event might be the one.
