Daniel Pearlman

“I just flew back in last night,” Daniel Pearlman was overheard saying.

The Hollywood, Florida poker player is a regular at any Seminole series and has already enjoyed some World Series of Poker Circuit success claiming a gold ring in Baltimore in May of this year. With four major titles to his name, he’s hoping to add a fifth on his home turf.

He’s off to a decent start early here in Flight C. Facing a raise to 800 from fellow Floridian Paul Balzano, Pearlman called and proceeded to check dark. The flop fell 8c5c4h and Balzano bet 1,000. Pearlman promptly raised to 2,000 and Balzano called.

The turn was the Kd. Both players checked.

Fifth street fell the 2s and Pearlman lead for 4,000. Balzano open-folded pocket jacks and Pearlman showed 4s4d for a flopped set. He took the pot.
