(Preflop and flop details told to us by Byron Kaverman)
Joe McKeehen raised from the cutoff, Bryon Kaverman called from the button and John Richards three-bet from the big blind. McKeehen four-bet, Kaverman folded and Richards called.
The flop was and Richards check-called a bet from McKeehen. The turn was the , Richards checked, McKeehen shoved for effectively 72,000 and Richards tanked for several minutes before he folded.
McKeehen showed as he collected the pot.
“Ahhhhhh,” yelled Richards. “He’s so f****** good!”
McKeehen takes the chip lead into the dinner break and leads the remaining 51 players.

Brian Altman
Event 15 hit the guarantee double-up point in Level 10 and the prize pool hit $400,000 with plenty of time to pile on.
Five-time SHRP champion (and WPT Champions Club member) Brian Altman, Joe McKeehen, Jake Schwartz, Melisa Singh, Chad Eveslage, and James Carroll are a few others helping to spin it up.
Along with Maria Ho and Jerry Wong, Carroll and Eveslage make it four of the six WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship final table members present today. Eveslage finished in sixth place at that final table in Las Vegas, moving him up to second place in the SHRP Player of the Year race, and Carroll won it all for $715,175.

Olivier Busquet
Event 15 is closing in on 200 entries which would double the $100,000 guaranteed prize pool and they show no signs of slowing as more top players join.
Recent additions include Olivier Busquet, Shannon Shorr, Ray Qartomy, Ronit Chamani, Victor Figueroa, Chris Hunichen, Ricky Guan, and Adam Owen.
This is Owen’s first trip to South Florida for one of our series and he started off with a bang. He hit town on Monday and promptly final tabled the $400 Pot Limit Omaha tournament later that night.
On Tuesday, we had four more tournaments on the SHRPO schedule and they all played down to a winner. There was a game for everyone with a Six-Max NLH, Big O, Omaha 8/Stud 8, and Eight-Handed Turbo.
There were three big headlines during the day with Gabriel Ramos winning his fifth SHRP title, Georgii Belianin winning his second of the series, and the Six-Max set a record.
Event 11 Champion Aleksey Shaburov
The day kicked off with the Six-Max tournament and it drew 349 entries with only a single re-entry allowed during registration. That number was good enough to make Event 11 the single biggest Six-Max tournament in our history regardless of buy-in size.
After a long final table, Aleksey Shaburov won the title after a heads-up deal with Aidan Hynes at 3 am. Shaburov earned $30,890 and took home his first career SHRP title.
Event 12 saw the return of the popular Big O tournament and it drew 75 entries to the Five-Card PLO8 game. The tournament quickly played down to the money but action slowed once they got there.
Georgii Belianin hit the final table with the lead and finished with all of the chips. The Russian pro continued a good week; two SHRPO title in three days, Event 4 on Sunday and Event 12 last night. This is his first visit to the property but we’re betting it won’t be his last.
1st: Georgii Belianin – $7,815 2nd: Charles Simon – $5,210 3rd: Ed Turner – $3,475 4th: John Holley – $2,415 5th: Amy Patel – $1,750 6th: Andrew Blum – $1,330 7th: Phil Sokolov – $1,060 8th: Craig Kessinger – $885 9th: Jason Reep – $780 10th: Anne Amato – $780
Gabriel Ramos
The third headline of the night involved Gabriel Ramos rising up the leaderboard for most SHRP major series wins. He picked up number five last night when he finished off the Omaha 8/Stud 8 tournament in a heads-up deal with “Miami” John Cernuto.
It was the fifth SHRP title for Ramos and puts him in a five-way tie for second overall with Brian Altman, Julio Fernandez, Michael Laake, and Michael Newman. David Prociak still leads that list with seven career SHRP wins and that will be a tough number to match during SHRPO.
1st: Gabriel Ramos – $6,090 + SHRPO Trophy * 2nd: “Miami” John Cernuto – $6,090 * 3rd: Carey Pickus – $3,250 4th: Matt Axelrod – $2,255 5th: John Holley – $1,640 6th: Joel Harwood – $1,245 7th: Lazaro Rodriguez – $990 8th: Sergio Braga – $830 9th: Brandon Duvdivani – $730 * – denotes results of heads-up deal
Event 14 Champion Sam Panzica
The last tournament of the day was the fastest to finish. Event 14 was a $1,100 Eight-Handed Turbo Freeze-Out and it played like a turbo. The tournament drew 94 entries and they were done within six hours of the start.
After several close calls in the past, Sam Panzica captured his first SHRP title after a heads-up deal. The bigger buy-in tournament produced a great final table that also included Jake Schwartz, Raj Vohra, Chris Hunichen, and Purple Chip Bounty sixth place finisher Carlos Guerrero.
$2,200 Eight-Handed NLH (Single Re-Entry) $200,000 Guaranteed | Structure Level 6: 300/500 with a 500 ante Entries: 153
Anthony Zinno
Event 15 is shaping nicely as a Big 4 warmup and it should easily double its guarantee later this evening. This tournament drew 209 last year and beating that is easily within reach.
Anthony Zinno and Kitty Kuo are another two more players making their 2019 SHRPO debut. WPT Champions Club member Zinno put another notch on his belt this summer when he won his second WSOP bracelet in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha 8 tournament.
Kuo is still looking for that first major title but she crossed over $2,000,000 in career earnings earlier this summer and also has a WPT runner-up finish in 2018.
