We already have a great turnout for the Ultimate Re-Entry and they will get one step closer to a $1,000,000 prize pool. That will double the guarantee on the tournament and push us near some record numbers before registration closes late Sunday night.

We have more than 2,500 entries so far with registration still open in Flight E and Flight F just getting underway.

Event 1 is a $360 best-stack-forward tournament which allows players to enter any and all the flights they wish. If they advance more than one stack, they will play their biggest on Day 2 and receive a $2,500 multi-stack payout for their smaller stacks. We have  a dozen players who already accomplished that feat including chip leader Frankie Flowers.

Players start their day with a 15,000 stack and 30-minute levels. Late registration and unlimited re-entries are available until the start of Level 13 at 11:45pm. Each starting flight will play down to the last 10% of the field, rounding down, and all those players will be in the money as they move on to Day 2 on Monday.

The Pot Limit Omaha 8 game reached Level 9 and registration is now closed. The tournament clock shows 86 entries but we will await the final accounting before locking that in.

Once the numbers are crunched, we will post the prize pool and payout information.

We put a $10,000 Guarantee on the Ladies Event and they wasted no time blasting past it. Entry number 48 officially put the prize pool over $10,000 and registration is open until 6:30pm.

Table 20 grabbed our attention at the start of the day when the four starting players were having a laugh. They are best friends and all drew the same table. Melissa Mancini, MG Fernandez, Christine DiFiore, and Robyn Marshman are having a good time before getting down to serious business later this evening.

Marshman is no stranger to this tournament; she won the Ladies Event during the 2017 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown.

We have other successful women in the crowd including two big winners. Jacquelyn Scott won the WSOP Ladies Championship in 2015 and Melisa Singh won the WSOP Circuit Ladies Event ring when the series was here in October 2017

The break is over and Flight E picked up a few more entries while they were out of the room. Players still have two hours worth of late registration to get to the Event Center to fire this flight, or they can come for the start of Flight F at 5pm.

We have a new leader and Reece Lightner is the only player over 100,000. He came back to a stack worth 113,000 which is good enough to top the field with Victor Merkel (95,000), Nick Hopkins (93,000), Song Kim (92,000), and Nicholas Rasona (90,000) rounding out the top five.

Flight E is blowing up and the 620 entries pushed the combined total over 2,500. This final number is going to be huge.

More South Florida regulars are playing today including Jon “PearlJammer” Turner. He has more than $3,000,000 in live career earnings but that is a drop in the buckets compared to the wizard’s $8,000,000 in online poker earnings.

We also found former SHRP champs David Bradshaw and Paul Balzano at the front of the Event Center sharing a moment.

Besides the big field Ultimate Re-Entry flights and a little Pot Limit Omaha 8 in the corner, we have a special tournament on the schedule. At 3pm we kick off the Ladies Event with some nice added prizes.

The tournament has a $250 buy-in with a $10,000 guaranteed prize pool. In addition to the top money for first place, the winner will also receive a Hard Rock Atlantic City package that includes hotel, dinner, and spa trip along with a seat into the $1,000,000 Guarantee WPTDeepStacks Lucky Hearts Poker Open Main Event.

They will start with 15,000 deep stacks and the first nine levels will last 20-minutes each. Late registration and re-entries are available until the start of Level 10 at 6:30pm and levels increase to 30-minutes.

They will play it out for the title later this evening with the winner earning the Hard Rock AC package and WPTDeepStacks Main Event seat.

The Pot Limit Omaha 8 game recently returned from their first break of the day. The entry count is up to 69 for another great non-hold’em turnout as the majority of the room grinds the Ultimate Re-Entry.

Making room for them, the PLO8 is playing out in the back corner of the Event Center for a more intimate, quiet game.

They have four more levels plus the break to push the number higher with late registration closing at 4:30pm.

Flight E returned from the first break of the day and players continue to parade back into the Event Center running the entry count higher. The 481 entries so far pushed the prize pool over $700,000 with an eye on a $1,000,000 prize pool.

Ronald Katz is the early leader with 63,000 with Sean Harper not far behind with 61,000. That’s a good start to their day but there is a lot of work to do before advancing to Day 2.

Flight E moved into Level 4 and they are close to hitting 400 entries before the first break. The combined entry count is over 2,200 and they continue to pile into the Event Center to run up the numbers.

Chris Hinchcliffe is back with us and he may have traveled the furthest to get here. He is a Northern California pro with more than $1,000,000 in career earnings and he flew across the country for the series.
