Adil Khan leads after the dinner break

As expected after dinner, there was a flurry of activity that created two doubles and a knockout.

Howard Mash moved all in for 215,000 and Ryan Gianquitti called. Mash was ahead with 5c5d against AdQc and won the race to double up.

On Table 34, Michael Newman moved all in for 190,000 after a 9s7d3d flop and Victor Figueroa called. Newman’s 4h4c was ahead of AdQs and the 7c turn and 7s river gave him the double.

While those two hands were happening, Jake Schwartz was eliminated in 25th place by Loni Harwood.

The 25 remaining players are now on a 40-minute dinner break and levels will go up to 90 minutes long when they return.

TK Miles

There’s been little action over the last 30 minutes since the three-table redraw. A short-stacked Jeffrey Bohanek went out in 27th but it’s been pretty smooth sailing for everyone else.

Except for TK Miles. He’s been quietly moving his stack higher and Luke Graham moved to his left. No Miles is the chip leader with 1,536,000 while Graham has dropped back to the field.

Jeff Rodriguez

We have a virtual tie at the top of the chip counts after two big hands at different tables. On Table 33, Jeff Rodriguez was all in for 101,000 and Mike Steinbacher called to put him at risk. Rodriguez needed help with AsJc against JsJd but the dry board Ts7h3cTd6s sent him out and Steinbacher up to 1,290,000.

On Table 39. Ronald Young was all in for his 153,000 stack and Luke Graham called trying to run his stack higher. Young was behind with As3d against AdJc but the 7s4h3s flop was favorable. The board finished 2s and 4d to give Young the double and send Graham a bit down.

33rd: Jeff Rodriguez – $3,246
34th: Ory Hen – $3,246
35th: Manny Minaya – $3,246
36th: Rafaello Locatelli – $3,246

Jerry Wong, during 2017 LHPO when he dominated Event 1

We had seven players enter the Main Event this morning before the start of Day 2. One of those seven was former SHRP champ, and November Niner, Jerry Wong. Naturally, he had to battle a short stack but he made the money and a min-cash.

That was a nice $1,000 profit for a couple hours of work.
