Ian O’Hara

We didn’t get the initial run of bust outs immediately following the money bubble, there’s a lot of money on the line and chips on the table.

Ian O’Hara was among the first group to walk to the payout desk while Luke Graham continued his hot run this afternoon by moving up to 1,400,000 in the previous level.

Chris Bolek

We were spoiled with the first two big money bubbles of the series, there was a double knockout on the first hand of tournaments for a quick burst. This time it went a little longer.

Nine hands and 20 minutes later after hand-for-hand began, Chris Bolek did the work. An opponent moved all in from under the gun and Bolek called from the button. It was a race with Bolek’s 7c7h ahead of Ad9d and the pair held as the board ran 6c6s5s3dKc.

The knockout put the last 44 players in the money and we should see the pace pick up a bit.

Luke Graham

The Main Event is back underway with 48 players remaining and 44 spots getting paid. We should see a little slowdown between now and the bubble before it picks back up.

Luke Graham is the new leader in the room and the closest to hitting one million in his stack. TK Miles continued to move up his stack and holds the second biggest count followed by Day 2 starting leader Jose Reyes.

Josh Milrad

Josh Milrad was among the chip leaders returning for Day 2 and things were looking good over the first two levels. He was another player heading towards 800,000 when he hit a tough hand.

With the board reading Jd7s6d4s, Milrad check-called a 50,000 bet and led for 100,000 after the Tc river. His opponent quickly called and Milrad tabled 4c4d for the turned set. But he was second best to the flopped set 6s6h for a small dip.

Milrad dropped to around 630,000 but he picked up some pots after to start the climb back towards the top of the counts.

Jon Brody

Jon Brody knew he had a lot of work to do if he wanted to cash in the Main Event today, nevermind win it. His night did not end well in Flight C and he returned with only 25,000 in his bag. The seven Day 2 entries were handed twice as many chips.

But he’s moving in the right direction. After two doubles, Brody is up to 97,000 as the field quickly plays down towards the money bubble.

Event 4: Dropping Fast

$300,000 Guaranteed | Structure
Level 16: 2,500/5,000 with a 5,000 ante

Ira Schwartz

Despite the slow structure, players are not wasting their time mixing it up. They are quickly down to the last seven tables of the tournament and a few tough players are already out including Rex Clinkscales, Tom Gity, Dani Dayan, and Seth Gilson.

Ira Schwartz was one of the seven players to buy-in this morning and he found a quick double to give him some room to maneuver. Loni Harwood is having a great start and closing on 800,000 for better than a double of her returning stack.
