Jorge Leidi (Aventura, FL) got all-in holding AK suited, only to run into pocket Aces on his left.  It looked like Jorge was going to bust out with just a couple of minutes left in the night, but the board ran out Q T 2 5 J and Jorge rivered Broadway to double up.

With about 15 minutes remaining in level 15, the clock was stopped and the surviving 30-something players bagged their chips for the night.

Guillermo Hamilton shoved his short-stack, then seat 7 shoved, then David Shmuel (Miami, FL) shoved, having the other two covered.

Guillermo had Ks9h and was in bad shape against seat 7’s AdKh and David’s pocket Jacks.  The board ran out KcQcJs4s3s giving David a set and the pot.  He chipped up to ~290k, good for the chip lead.

Guillermo and the player in seat 7 reported to the rail with just a few minutes left in the night.

David Shmuel owns electronics shops in Miami, but is originally from Israel.  He’s been in the US for 20 years.

The flop read 10h6d2h when Daniel Buzgon (pictured above) was all in for the last of his chips with QsQd in the hole against Paul Domb, who held Ah3h.

The chip counts after the elimination were as follows:

Paul Domb – 573,000
Victor Coelho – 448,000
Stuart Greenbaum – 346,000

Wang and Jackson Win Seats in $10M Championship

Tonight’s $575 Championship Qualifier seated 21 players which generated two seats into the $10 Million Guaranteed Championship event.

Michael Wang & David Jackson
Michael Wang & David Jackson

David Jackson (Atlanta, GA) and Michael Wang (Livingston, NJ) were the last two players with chips, so they both have secured their seats in the Championship event.   Both of these guys play poker for a living and they’ve just earned a 90% discount on their seats in the big one.

Michael Wang cashed in both Events 1 (NLH) and 2 (Omaha H/L), so he’s on a hot streak.  He’ll be back at it again tomorrow, playing whatever tournament catches his eye.

Championship qualifiers (satellites) are scheduled throughout the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open.   For the full schedule, go to SHRPO.com.
