Nigel Murray was among the chipleaders late but was down to just 10,000 at one point of the final table. He quadrupled up before taking a shot after action folded to him in the small blind.

He shoved with 8-2 and Andrew Frier called from the big blind with A-4. Murray flopped bottom pair and turned two pair with the . Frier made a comeback on the river with the gutshot wheel to knock out Murray in 7th place for $900.

Ariel Rosello was a short stack over most of the final two tables and did well to make it into the money then climb the payout ladder. Shortly after Doolittle’s knockout, Rosello moved all-in under the gun for just more than the big blind. Casey Cohen called from the cutoff before Peter Striano raised from the button. Cohen joked about suited cards before Striano rolled over to dominate Rosello’s .

The gave a little hope to Rosello but the turn and river ended his tournament in 8th place for $700.

Action picked up once the money bubble was burst and Luke Doolittle pushed his eight big blinds all-in early with and was called  in the next position by Peter Striano with . The board ran out and Striano took the pot with the bigger two pair. Doolittle was knockout in 9th place for $500.

Players are returning from a 15-minute break after the black chips were colored off. Only 12 players remain and they will redraw when down to 10 with nine of those making the money.

The stacks have built enough where the players are finally able to make some moves post-flop besides an automatic shove. Just 18 players remain in the tournament with the final 9 making the money. The tournament will redraw to an unofficial final table when down to 10 players.

At the current pace, Event 5 might be complete before sundown. There are 20 left in the tournament and one of those flopped well to stay alive.

Pushing under the gun during this tournament isn’t a question of picking up the blinds/antes or if you get called, it’s about the number of people who call. The 6-seat at Table 39 was lucky to get heads up preflop when he shoved with to see he was behind the button’s but that didn’t last long.

Registration is now closed for Event 5 of the Seminole Hard Rock “Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Open” and the players will see a little $2,200 overlay. The tournament drew 89 entrants and there are only 27 players remaining.

The final 9 spots will pay out with the winner taking home $7,000.

Not only are they not adding tables as the registration comes to a close, they have broken a table with 81 players showing so far. In theory that would be nine tables but in Turbo reality it is just five.

One player is on his 6th bullet and will need a top finish to turn a profit.

There was a double knockout on Table 36 midway through Level 7 with another three-way all-in after the flop. The two shorter stacks were holding for Aces up and for the open ended straight draw against the big stack’s nut flush draw.

The turn didn’t change any fates but the river flush pushed both short stacks to the 8-seat. It was Mr. Aces Up who went down to fire his 6th re-entry bullet. “Get that guy’s picture,” he joked as he walked away.

“This is the table that gets there,” joked the 8-seat as he was stacking chips, “I could write an article about it.”

An example of how fast players are coming and going then coming back, there are 77 entrants shown on the tournament clock yet they have not had more than six tables open throughout (54 max at a time). That might change over the last hour of registration but things are moving quickly.
