2014 SHRPO Live Updates

Event 17: When One Tablet Isn’t Enough

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)

Level 11: 500/1,000/100 ante

The long days in big events can be a grind and players need some distraction between hands.

Tablets

The most popular appears to be Open Face Chinese, either on a smartphone or tablet.  Players all around the room have games going.  This is the first time I’ve seen a player juggling two tablets at the same time, however.

Event 17: Lamb Doubles Thru Panayiotou

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)

Level 10: 400/800/ 100 ante

Ben Lamb
Ben Lamb

2011 November Niner and WSOP bracelet holder Ben Lamb (bb) and Eric Panayiotou (middle position) saw a flop of AcTc8c.  Ben checked, Eric bet 3,000, Ben check-raised to 10,400, Eric jammed, and Ben called all-in for 49,700 total.

Eric had QcTh for middle pair with second nut flush draw, while Ben was ahead with Jc3c for the made flush.  Eric had a lot of outs, but Ben faded them all when the last two peeled off Ah3h.

Ben’s flopped flush was good for a double-up to over 100k while Eric’s stack took a big hit.

Event 17: Heating Up

$5,300 Championship NLH $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)
Level 10: 400/800/ 100 ante

On a board of J Q J 10 5, Michael Wint (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) is all-in and, after some thinking, induces a fold from Marc Lome. A few hands later Wint has the player in seat 9 all-in and scoops the pot after his 7 9 makes a full boat Nines over Sevens, busting his opponent. Wint is sitting on around 120K (150bbs).

Event 17: Dinner Time Chatter

Here’s what some players were tweeting during the dinner break:

Event 17: SHRPO champs going for the big one

$5,300 Buy-In Championship No Limit Hold’em $10 Million Guaranteed (Re-Entry)
Level 9: 300/600/75 ante

Two recent winners in this year’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open series are in the hunt for the big prize.

Nicolas Yunis is on his 2nd bullet in today’s SHRPO Championship Flight 1A. He’s fresh off his win in last night’s Charity Series Of Poker event.

Carlos Loving has already doubled his stack to 60K (100bbs). Just a few nights ago he took down Event 11: $560 Buy-In Double Black Chip Bounty No Limit Hold’em Freeze-Out , good for $12K.
