It took nearly four full levels and two rounds of hand-for-hand, but the remaining 45 players in the $560 Deeper Stack are now in the money and assured at least $1,130. The gut-wrenching, bubble-bursting moment came when Haim Toorgeman was at risk preflop versus Scott Zakheim. Zakheim owned the advantage as far as chip stacks, but was in a world of hurt in regard to hand strength. Toorgeman held and was in great shape to double versus the of Zakehim. It took a couple minutes for the other tables to finish their hands, but when they did, the dealer burned and began to turn.

Before the flop even hit the felt, the revealed itself in the window. The table let out a collective groan as Zakheim improved to a set to take a commanding lead. Following the turn, the board laid giving Toorgeman outs to a straight as well. He was drawing live, but it proved to be in vain. The river completed with the and Toorgeman busted 46th sending the field into the money.

While start-of-day chip leader Daren Stabinski, Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Loni Harwood, Ory Hen, John Depersio, Abbey Daniels and Ray Ruszkowski are among those still alive, not everyone was so lucky. SHRP team members Jessica Dawley and Mukul Pahuja, Deep Stack Event 1 winner Steve McKoy and World Series of Poker gold bracelet winners Matt Waxman and Phil Hui are among those to bust shy of an in-the-money berth.

The current chip leader appears to be Kevin Curran. He leads the way with a stack of roughly 1,250,000 and sets the pace with the tournament’s top prize of $57,746 on the line.

Event 3 of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Deep Stack Series — a $560 buy-in Deeper Stack tournament — drew 452 entries generating a $226,000 prize pool. The top 45 players head home with a score of at least $1,130. In addition to a $57,746 top prize, the tournament’s champion earns an added $1,650 Deepest Stack Event 4 seat and the guitar trophy.

It’s noon local time, cards are in the air and registration is officially closed in the $560 Deeper Stack tournament. As of last night, the field stood at 437 entries accumulating a prize pool of $218,500. Both those numbers are expected to have ticked up overnight as players were able to enter until just moments ago.

Leading the 103 players who bagged Flight A and B is Daren Stabinski. Stabinski, who plays out of Miami and owns nearly $450,000 in reported tournament earnings, sits on a stack of 466,000. Along with Marcus Stein (406,000), Stabinski is one of just two players over the 400,000 mark.

Deep Stack Event 1 3rd-place finisher Michael Merisier (221,500), Seminole Hard Rock Poker team members Jessica Dawley (193,000), Loni Harwood (168,000) and Mukul Pahuja (158,000), Deep Stack Event 2 winner Marc Schiller (137,500) and World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner Matt Waxman (91,500) are among the other notables still in contention.

Barring reaching the 3 a.m. hard stop, Event 3 is set to play to its conclusion. The first six levels are 60 minutes in length. At that time, a 40-minute dinner break occurs. From there on out, remaining levels are 90 minutes.

Out in front of the field by a margin is Henri Azoulay. Azoulay holds a stack of 295,000 chips and is the only Flight B player to top the 200,000 mark.

Play is underway following the first break in Event 3 of the Deep Stack Series. With the clock showing 121 entries, the combined field sits at 303 and the $150,000 guarantee is officially a thing of the past.

The tournament’s early chip leader is Allen Turner. Turner has enjoyed some good fortune and seen his stack grow from 40,000 starting to 114,000 as of now. Joining Turner as an even headliner is Steve McKoy. Less than 24 hours ago, McKoy bested 1,075 in the Deep Stack Series opener to pocket nearly $50,000.
