Event 4: $300K+ (Officially) Up for Grabs

Event 4: $1,650 Deepest Stack
$300,000 Guaranteed
Level 8: 400/800/100
Flight B Entries: 90 (Total Entries: 201)

What was inevitable is now official.

With the 90th Flight B entry, the combined field in the $1,650 Deepest Stack sits at 201 putting the prize pool at $301,500 and growing. As expected, the $300,000 guarantee was but a blip on the radar.

Players can still late register Flight B (anyone who does so now would still sit with over 50 big blinds) and Flight C begins tomorrow at 11am. Late registration is available until Sunday at 12-noon and the field is expected to do nothing but swell between now and then.

Brothers Jacob (left) and Bradley Snider (right)

Brothers Bradley and Jacob Snider currently find themselves seated together at Table 40. Both have experienced success not only here in South Florida, but at venues throughout the country and in the Bahamas. Bradley owns the bragging rights having claimed victory in last year’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open The Big 4 $2,650 event for $246,400. Jacob has recorded his share of cashes as well, most notably taking part in a four-way chop in last year’s $360 Deep Stack for over $35,000. Together they account for more than $350,000 in tournament earnings.

It’s Jacob who currently holds the edge in Flight B of the $1,650 with a stack of roughly 115,000.

The Snider family poses following Bradley’s 2016 SHRPO The Big 4 $2,650 victory.

Event 4: A Pair of Seminole Hard Rock Regulars

Event 4: $1,650 Deepest Stack
$300,000 Guaranteed
Level 6: 250/500/75
Flight B Entries: 76 (Total Entries: 187)

Michael Newman (right) folds the river to Steve McKoy (left)

With a combined 12 tournament wins at the Seminole Hard Rock, it would be tough to find a pair as accomplished under this roof as Michael Newman and Steve McKoy. They’re seated next to eachother in Seat 1 and 2 at Table 36 and recently played a small pot.

There was preflop action with McKoy in the cutoff and Newman on the buttom. McKoy checked the flop and Newman bet2,500. McKoy called. Both players checked the turn. The river fell and McKoy lead for 3,000. Newman quickly mucked and McKoy dragged the pot.

For Newman, the pot was inconsequential as his stack remained at over 115,000. McKoy’s stack was also strong sitting at just under 85,000 after the hand.

Event 4: Daniel Pearlman Looking for a Home State Win

Event 4: $1,650 Deepest Stack
$300,000 Guaranteed
Level 6: 250/500/75
Flight B Entries: 71 (Total Entries: 182)

Daniel Pearlman

Daniel Pearlman is local to South Florida but has recorded tournament cashes all over the country. Most notably, Pearlman claimed victory in World Series of Poker Circuit events in Las Vegas and Baltimore. He’s still in search of a major title in his home state and he’ll be able to try for the WSOP Circuit trifecta when the tour heads to Hollywood September 21-October 17, 2017. Pearlman hopes his journey for a Florida title ends before that, though.

One Flight B entry has already gone to the wayside as he’s in for second bullet in today’s play.

Event 4: Wally Maddah Repping Tampa

Event 4: $1,650 Deepest Stack
$300,000 Guaranteed
Level 5: 200/400/50
Flight B Entries: 67 (Total Entries: 178)

Wally Maddah

Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker amabassador Wally Maddah made the trek east to Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood yesterday. He’s a staple during any major Seminole Hard Rock Poker series here in Hollywood and plays virtually everything in Tampa. While he doesn’t always make it over to the east side of the state for the in-room events, today’s $1,650 Flight B with $300,000 guaranteed, 50,000 starting chips and 40-, 60- and 90-minute levels did the trick.

Event 4: $1,650 Deepest Stack

Level 4: 150/300/50
Flight B Entries: 61 (Total Entries: 172)

Jeffrey Trudeau, Jr.

He’s putting that seat to work as he sits at right about starting stack late in Level 4.
