We mentioned Jacquelyn Scott earlier, the 2015 WSOP Ladies Champion, and we found Marsha Wolak a few tables over. She also owns a bracelet from that tournament in 2011 but she has other wins including in this tournament. Wolak was the last player standing in the 2015 Poker Showdown Seniors Event to add some hardware.

They have right around an hour to spin up the entry count with registration closing at 2:30 pm.

The Seniors Event is taking their first break of the day soon after pushing the entry count over 200. That’s good enough for the fourth biggest Seniors field in our history and they still have more than two hours to run it higher.

WSOP Circuit champ Nancy Birnbaum made a return to the Seminole Ballroom with her trusted companion Buddy by her side.

The Seniors keep coming to the Seminole Ballroom and it’s a lock that this field will land somewhere in the top 10 of our biggest fields for this tournament. Now we’ll have to see how high it climbs.

We found two players seated next to each other with some WSOP pedigree. Neil Blumenfield played on the biggest stage in poker in 2015 when he made the Main Event November Nine final table and went on to finish in third. Jacquelyn Scott took home gold when she won the WSOP Ladies Championship that same year.

The Seniors Event is wasting no time running up its entry count with more than 100 in action in the first level. A great turnout and they are having a great time, lots of laughs, and good moments.

We made it through the second weekend of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open and putting out some new tournaments for the fresh week starting with the very popular Seniors Event. The $400 buy-in tournament is open to anyone 50 years or older and we’ll have a great group of players.

They’ll start with 12,000 stacks and play 30-minute levels from start to finish. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 2:30 pm with unlimited re-entries available if needed. Tournament staff will send them on a 40-minute dinner break at 6:30 pm and they will play down to a winner when they return.

We expect a fun group of players today with another Seniors Event champion later this evening.
