CSOP: Housewife hosed

$300 CSOP Big Stack Turbo NLH (Re-Entry)
Level 22: 8K/16K/ 2K ante

9 handed play lasts for some time, until the following hand occurs. Joanna Krupa of Real Housewives fame is all-in and at risk of elimination against Daniel Weinman. The cards are tabled:

Krupa: 7s2d
Weinman: 9d9s

The board is no help for the model/ actress as it comes KhKcAh2h7h, even though she paired both her hole cards. Weinman wins the hand with 2 pair, Kings and Nines and busts Krupa in 9th place. Krupa gets $441 for her work today.

CSOP: In the money honey!

$300 CSOP Big Stack Turbo NLH (Re-Entry)
Level 19: 4K/8K/ 500 ante

10 handed play took a little while, but we are finally at our official final table with all 9 remaining players getting paid.

Natasha Barbour shoves her big stack and is looked up by Chance Kornuth.

Barbour: AsKs
Kornuth: QdQs

The board brings no help to Barbour as it falls all low cards 8s5h4d9c5c. Barbour is left crippled, having Kornuth barely covered.

A few hands later, the 2 players butt heads again as Barbour shoves 61K into the middle, and Kornuth calls once again.

Kornuth: AcJs
Barbour: AhQh

Barbour is ahead pre-flop, but sees the bad news in the window as the flop runs 5sJd9c. The turn and river are 10s5c and Kornuth catches a pair of Jacks to eliminate Barbour in 10th place to burst the money bubble.

Barbour doesn’t leave empty handed though, she gets an overnight stay at Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa and dinner for 2 at Council Oak (a $400 value) for busting out 10th.

Those still in the hunt for the 1st place prize and the trophy are chip leader and poker pro Chance Kornuth, Real Housewives of Miami star Joanna Krupa, Nick Yunis, Mark Hoke, Deborah Mitchell and Joe Galloway.

CSOP: Sweet 16

And just like that we’re down to 16 players. 7 more eliminations until we make the money. Some familiar faces still in: Ryan Cabrera, Joanna Krupa, Natasha Barbour, Nancy Todd, and our very own Mark Hoke. The Real Housewives of Miami cheering section is particularly rowdy as Karent Sierra has recently hit the rail, now cheering for her buddy Joanna Krupa.

Another local celebrity playing in today’s charity event is Ray Stefanelli, Director of Poker Marketing for Seminole Gaming. Mr. Stefanelli doesn’t have much experience playing poker, but he’s having a good time regardless. All in the name of charity. Good luck Ray, don’t get bitten by any sharks out there!

CSOP: End of the Road (for now)

$300 CSOP Big Stack Turbo NLH (Re-Entry)
Level 7: 250/500/ 50 ante

On a board showing J 10 2 8 6 we see Jared Jaffee scooping in a big pot with 7d7c, calling the all-in of both Matt Affleck and Nate Morris (from Boyz II Men), who missed the board with A 3. Both Affleck and Morris are knocked out of the event.

Morris says “I can’t believe you called that, you’re not supposed to call that” to Jaffee. Jaffee fires back “Hey, it’s for charity..it’s all about the charity”. Morris graciously says “Nice hand” and says that he will rebuy into the tournament at least one more time.

90 entries so far in today’s charity event.
