Matt Glantz three-bet shoved for 22,400 from the button and Eugene called from the big blind. The early raiser released and cards were tabled to show Glantz in trouble.
Katchalov:

Glantz:

The

flop made little difference to Glantz but the
turn helped a lot. His comeback was cut short by the
river and Glantz was sent out short of the money.

Ruberto:

Ruberto needed to catch to stay in the WPT Finale, missed the

Two former Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship winners were sitting next to each other and went to battle after the break.
Eric Afriat (2014 champ) opened to 11,500 from the cutoff and Taylor von Kriegenbergh (2011 champ) raised to 60,000 from the button, leaving only 5,700 behind.
Afriat put a stack forward, enough to cover von Kriegenbergh, and the 2011 winner laughed/pump faked a fold before calling.
Afriat:

von Kriegenbergh:

Afriat was ahead for the knockout and von Kriegenbergh added a tiny gutshot Broadway draw on the

flop. The
turn was no help to von Kriegenbergh and he was eliminated after the
river.
Eric Afriat – 207,000 (104 bb)

There were a few fireworks at Table 30 with a lot of noise and laughs.
Former SHRP champ Daren Stabinski was all-in for 27,000 when the vocal local small blind player announced all-in himself, but action was still on Marc-Andre Ladouceur. He called Stabinski’s shove while small blind worked everything out.
Our small blind player was all-in for 12,200 and we had a three-way all-in pot.
Small blind:

Stabinski:

Ladouceur:

Ladouceur was in line for the double knockout until the

flop, even the small blind players had a sweat. The
turn had no impact and Stabinski picked up the big pot after the
river.
Daren Stabinski – 70,000 (44 bb)

It’s slow going in the WPT Finale with only a handful of eliminations in the first level. We found a few new faces that weren’t around at bag up last night.
Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Darryll Fish was here very late playing down to the WPT Showdown Championship live-streamed final table of six but he’s back this afternoon trying to set himself up to potentially play two WPT final tables in consecutive days.
Also here, eight-time WSOP bracelet winner Erik Seidel after his 13th place finish last night. He was another pre-Day 2 entry for his 33 big blinds.
