Event 25: Missing Mike Berland

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 18: 3,000/6,000/1,000 Ante

We have a curious case of a missing person deep in Event 25 without playing a single hand today. Mike Berland bagged up 217,500 at the end of Day 1B but apparently didn’t read the schedule close enough. A few of his competitors last night indicated he thought it was a one-day event.

Berland is getting blinded down as they close in on the bubble and off on a 15-minute color up break.

Event 25: Moving Fast

$150 No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 17: 2,500/5,000/500 Ante

We thought players would settle in for the grind after switching over to the poker room but they are hitting the door in a hurry. The field quickly dropped 23 players before the first hour and those 63 remaining players will be nearing the money in no time.

We had a visitor in the room today. Local reg Francis Margaglione won the $200 Deep Stack Turbo event last night while most were paying attention to the Big 4 final tables. He was due after several close calls and came in to pick up his custom-framed winner’s photo courtesy of Image Masters.

Margaglione proudly displayed it to Table 39, they have an idea of the bonus award they’ll get for winning.

Event 25 is going to move along at a brisk pace, they’ll be breaking tables until the stacks catch up. Tracey Gelb was happy to come back for Day 2 but it ended quickly for her when her Jacks ran into the Aces of Rafael Ramos.

The last 45 players will make the money and we’ll post the payouts shortly.
