Gordon Battle was all in on the small blind for 67,500 with a flop reading QdJd10h and Stuart Greenbaum had him covered on the big blind. Battle held Qc9s and Greenbaum flipped over As8s. The turn and river fell 4hJh and Battle doubled up on the hand to survive with close to 140,000. Greenbaum was still solid with 134,000 after the hand.

The flop read KhQdJh when Victor Coelho bet 12,300 and David Felger raised to 33,000. Coelho tanked and called, and then both players checked the 6h on the turn. The river delivered the 9s and Coelho bet 33,300. Felger called and flipped over As10c for a flopped Broadway straight. Coelho held Ah2h and he turned a flush to win the pot. Coelho stacked up 164,000 after the hand and he has a strong hold on the chip lead. Felger was down to 47,000 after paying out the pot.

Stuart Greenbaum was all in preflop for 53,300 from late position with the flop reading Kc9d5c and Bob Panitch called on the hijack. Greenbaum flipped over Kh5h and Panitch showed down KdQd. The turn and river ran out 10c7s and Greenbaum doubled to six figures.

Panitch dropped to 15,000 and he soon got all of those chips into the middle from the big blind against Jie Liu, who was on the button. Panitch held KsQd and Liu had 6c6d. The board was dealt QcJs10d2c4d and Panitch survived with 30,000.

The biggest buy-in event to date in the 2014 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open is underway and begins with hand-for-hand action on the money bubble. There are 19 players returning from the starting 114 and one of them will not make the money. The top 18 players get paid and they will play down to a winner today.
