Mike Beasley
Mike Beasley all in on a previous hand.

The PLO 8 event is playing out in a different room across the hall from Event 1, and they are nearing the final table.

There was a three-way preflop all-in situation at one of the final two tables, with Mike Beasley all in from the hijack for 14,000, Mark Dube all in from the button for 30,000, and both of them covered by Sean Remz, who is under the gun.

These were their cards, listed in descending order of chip counts:

Sean Remz:  Ad9c4h3c
Mark Dube:  AhQc9d2s
Mike Beasley:  KhKsQs2d

The board came Ac8h8d3hJs, and nobody made a qualifying low hand, so Dube won the entire pot with two pair, aces and eights, with a queen kicker to eliminate Beasley in 12th place.

Mark Dube  –  80,000  (20 bb)
Mike Beasley  –  Eliminated in 12th Place  ($975)

Joel Harwood, defending SHRPO Pot Limit Omaha 8 champion

While the Event Center will be mostly packed with Event 1 players, we’ll also have a talented field taking part in our next one-day trophy tournament. A special one for those already bagged up for Event 1 or those who like their poker with four cards.

Event 4 is a $400 buy-in Pot Limit Omaha 8 tournament that will keep the action clicking along at a brisk pace but tempered by the split pot high/low aspect. Joel Harwood is our defending champion; he broke through for his first title after a lot of Omaha final tables.

PLO8 players will start with 12,000 stacks and all levels last 30 minutes long. Late registration is available until the start of Level 9 at 4:30 pm and they can re-enter as many times while registration is open. A 40-minute dinner break is scheduled at 6 pm and players will return to play down to our next SHRPO champion.

Cards go in the air at noon and we will bring you all the highlights until we pick up full coverage at the final table.
