John Gorsuch

Perhaps Table 33 was jealous of the huge three-way pot from Table 28 and wanted one of their own. There was a bit of ruckus and it happened again, this time between John Miller, John Gorsuch, and Adil Khan.

Miller: JsJd
Gorsuch: KhKc
Khan: AhAs

Three painted pairs and Khan had them both covered with the rockets. The 9d5h4h flop was harmless as was the Tc turn. Miller sat back down when he hit the Jh river for the big pot.

“Imagine if I had a bigger stack!” Miller joked.

Gorsuch was the shortest and was sent out in 18th and Khan took a small dip.

It was the second big run for Gorsuch this series after his third-place finish in Event 1.

John Miller – 890,000 (45 bb)
Adil Khan – 1,500,000 (75 bb)
John Gorsuch – Eliminated

Level 22: 10,000/20,000 with a 20,000 ante
Players Remaining: 18 of 349

David Nowling

The craziness continued after dinner. Less than halfway through the post-dinner level, the Main Event is down to two tables.

The biggest hand saw Chris Bolek open the action, David Page moved all in for 520,000 and Antonio Fernandez called all in for less. David Nowling called having both of them covered and Bolek went away.

Nowling: AsAd
Page: KdKh
Fernandez: AhKs

A huge hand with three monsters which Nowling was dominating. He never had a sweat as the board ran Qd4d2s9h7d to send two players out and push him up to 1,455,000.

While those two were going out, Devon Workman and Ronald Young were eliminated from their tables to send the field down to 18.

This was a great result for Young who earned his seat in the Main Event by winning the May Big Stack Special event.

19th: Ronald Young – $5,471
20th: Devon Workman – $5,471
21st: David Page – $5,471

Loni Harwood

Loni Harwood has been the most active player since the dinner break and the action moved her to the top of the counts. She sent Jake Schwartz out after dinner, followed by Tony Utnage, and then she took a big chunk of Antonio Fernandez.

The last one had Harwood betting 300,000 with the board complete and reading Th7s5hJs2s. Fernandez thought for a few minutes, cut out some chips, and called. Harwood tabled the nut flush AsKs and Fernandez gave up his hand.

Loni Harwood – 2,415,000 (121 bb)
Antonio Fernandez – 485,000 (24 bb)

Event 4: Back from Dinner; Mash and Newman Double

Adil Khan leads after the dinner break

As expected after dinner, there was a flurry of activity that created two doubles and a knockout.

Howard Mash moved all in for 215,000 and Ryan Gianquitti called. Mash was ahead with 5c5d against AdQc and won the race to double up.

On Table 34, Michael Newman moved all in for 190,000 after a 9s7d3d flop and Victor Figueroa called. Newman’s 4h4c was ahead of AdQs and the 7c turn and 7s river gave him the double.

While those two hands were happening, Jake Schwartz was eliminated in 25th place by Loni Harwood.

Bill Farnan

Only one elimination over the 30 minutes before dinner break and it was Event 1 final table member Bill Farnan.

The 25 remaining players are now on a 40-minute dinner break and levels will go up to 90 minutes long when they return.

Event 4: TK Miles Takes the Lead

TK Miles

There’s been little action over the last 30 minutes since the three-table redraw. A short-stacked Jeffrey Bohanek went out in 27th but it’s been pretty smooth sailing for everyone else.

Except for TK Miles. He’s been quietly moving his stack higher and Luke Graham moved to his left. No Miles is the chip leader with 1,536,000 while Graham has dropped back to the field.

Jonathan Hilton

We had five more quick eliminations before Level 20 came to an end including 2013 WSOP National Champion Jonathan Hilton.

Tournament staff paused the clock and players are redrawing for seats at the last three tables of the Main Event.

28th: Jerry Silva – $3,246
29th: Jesse Letchworth – $3,246
30th: Forrest Raleigh – $3,246
31st: Pasquale Caiazza – $3,246

Level 20: 6,000/12,000 with a 12,000 ante
Players Remaining: 33 of 349

Jeff Rodriguez

We have a virtual tie at the top of the chip counts after two big hands at different tables. On Table 33, Jeff Rodriguez was all in for 101,000 and Mike Steinbacher called to put him at risk. Rodriguez needed help with AsJc against JsJd but the dry board Ts7h3cTd6s sent him out and Steinbacher up to 1,290,000.

On Table 39. Ronald Young was all in for his 153,000 stack and Luke Graham called trying to run his stack higher. Young was behind with As3d against AdJc but the 7s4h3s flop was favorable. The board finished 2s and 4d to give Young the double and send Graham a bit down.

33rd: Jeff Rodriguez – $3,246
34th: Ory Hen – $3,246
35th: Manny Minaya – $3,246
36th: Rafaello Locatelli – $3,246

Ronald Young
