We caught the action with Wally Maddah and Phil Hui heads up to the flop and Maddah checked. Hui bet 8,000 and Maddah called to see the turn, then he checked again.
Hui moved all in for 57,000 and Maddah called after a quick think.
Maddah: Hui:
They were both holding top/top but Maddah was freerolling a river club. The river completed his flush and Hui was eliminated.

Chris Nomikos finished Flight C with the chip lead and returned as the second biggest stack overall, but he’s the early Day 2 chip leader after a quick run.
On the first hand, action folded around the Nomikos in the small blind and he moved all in on the short-stacked Almog Biton in the big blind. He called for his final 90,000 and they were off to the races.
Nomikos: Biton:
Biton needed to hold to stay in the game and the seemed safe. The turn gave him some troubles even with his two pair and it was counterfeited on the river. Nomikos ace played and Biton was sent out.
On the next hand, it folded around to Gil Aboodi in the cutoff and he moved all in for 57,000. After a quick think, Nomikos called on the button and the blinds released.
Aboodi: Nomikos:
Another race for someone’s stack and this time the pair held as the board ran to send Aboodi out.
“Who’s next?” Nomikos joked with his table.
Those back-to-back hands moved Nomikos over 450,000 and likely the early chip leader.

Cards went in the air promptly at 1pm and players are wasting no time trying to run up their stack in anticipation of the money bubble.
On the very first hand of the day, action folded around to the short-stacked Zach Mullennix in the small blind and he moved all in. He was called by champ Raminder Singh with less in the big.
Mullennix: Singh:
Two live cards for Mullennix and he paired one on the flop to take the lead. The board finished and to send the three-time SHRP champ out on the first hand.

We have one last, big multi-day event to wrap up before heading into Championship weekend and we will hand out the eighth trophy of the series before the day is through.
Event 6 drew 633 entries over four starting flights and 199 of them will join together for Day 2 this afternoon. Jeffrey Fogel leads the way as the only player over 300,000 but he’ll have some talented players trying to catch his stack including Seminole Hard Rock Tampa poker ambassador Wally Maddah returning with a top ten stack.
Other Day 2 notables include former SHRP champ Ory Hen, Rafael Reis, Paul Balzano, and Tony Ruberto along with Michael Laake carrying the flag for Team Seminole Hard Rock Poker.
Those 119 players still have a little work to get done today before they see any money. Only 63 of them will divide up the $316,500 prize pool and it will take a couple hours to get there. They will start with a $1,976 min-cash and work their way to the top prize of $75,982.
Day 2 levels switch it up to 40 minutes until the final table when they will increase to 60 minutes. They’ll put cards in the air at 1pm and we’ll be here until we crown a champion.

The final flight of the $570 deep stack no limit hold’em re-entry event brought out the most entries of any flight. Unsurprisingly, it also produced the overall chip leader.
There were 199 entries in Day 1D of the event, but by the day’s end, only 35 remained. Jeffrey Fogel paced the field and bagged the chip lead with 315,000 in chips. He busted SHRP team member Loni Harwood late in the day to accumulate a big portion of his stack.
Not only does he bag the 1D chip lead, but he’ll have the biggest stack of anybody returning for Day 2 on Wednesday.
Other notables to make it through the final flight of the event include Ory Hen (186,500), Brett Bader (176,000), Tony Ruberto (157,500), SHRP team member Michael Laake (88,500) and Ronit Chamani (61,500).
The 199 entries brought the total field size to 633 entries and a prizepool of $316,500. There are 119 players returning for Day 2 and the top 63 spots will finish in the money. A min-cash is worth $1,076 and the eventual winner will leave with $75,982.
Cards get back in the air at 1 p.m. and blinds will start at 1,500/3,000 with a 500 ante.
