Joey Couden

The WPT Lucky Hearts Poker Open Championship made it through the two starting flights and it drew 911 entries to push the prize pool well clear of the $2 Million Guarantee.

Of those starters, we have 343 coming back for Day 2 this afternoon and it will be another great day of poker. Joey Couden returns with the chip lead followed by Cong Pham, Brad Albrinck, Darryll Fish, and Dantonio Brown. Albrinck bagged up the Flight A chip lead, had a day off, and went across the hall to win the Black Chip Bounty event.

The top ten also includes poker legend Bobby Suer, high roller specialist Isaac Haxton, and WPT favorite Sam De Silva. Father/daughter team Loni and Joel Harwood also advanced along with Vanessa Selbst, Rainer Kempe, Darren Elias, and Anthony Spinella. Michael Quinn grabbed his entry via our Win a Seat drawing and returns with a top 50 stack.

The plan is to play ten more levels, one hour apiece, and end the day around 12:30 am. The actual length is yet to be determined, it will all depend on how long it takes to make the money this evening.

The Championship restarts at noon and we’ll see who makes a Day 2 run.
