Good morning and welcome to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Hollywood and Day 1 of the property’s Deep Stack Series. This unique, in-house event plays out over 12 days and features combined guarantees of more than $650,000. In addition to a hefty top prize, the champion in the series headliner — a $1,650 buy-in, $300,000 guaranteed Deepest Stack tournament beginning May 26 — earns a $5,250 seat in the $5,000,000 guaranteed Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship.

Full Deep Stack Series Schedule

Getting thing started today at 11 a.m. is Event 1, a $350 buy-in, $150,000 guaranteed tournament. Not only does this kick the series off, but it marks the first of three flights in the opener. Continuing the action on opening day is the 6pm, $115 multi satellite.

Here’s a breakdown of the day’s schedule:

11am: $350 Deep Stack Series Event 1 – Flight A

  • $350 buy-in, $150,000 guaranteed
  • Players begin with 30,000 chips
  • Day 1 levels are 40 minutes
  • 40-minute dinner break occurs following Level 9 (at about 5:30 p.m.)
  • Play concludes following Level 15 (at about 10:25 p.m.) or at tournament director discretion
  • Late registration/unlimited re-entry available until the start of Day 2 (Sunday at 12 p.m.)

Structure Sheet

6pm: $115 Multi Satellite into Event #1 and #3 (1-in-10)

  • $115 buy-in, four packages guaranteed ($910 value)
  • Players begin with 7,500 chips
  • Level are 20 minutes
  • Late registration/unlimited re-entry available until the start of Level 9 (about 8:55 p.m.)

Ory Hen Wins May Deep Stack Series Event 4: ($121,800)!

After nearly five days of tournament action, Ory Hen has emerged from the field of 290 entries to take down Event #4: Deepest Stack No-Limit Hold’em for $121,800!

Hen fired twice on Day 1A, but to no avail. He tried again on Day 1B, but after losing much of his stack on the last hand, he opted to forfeit his remaining few thousand in chips to come back fresh on Day 2 with 12.5 big blinds. The rest is history as Hen navigated his way to the final table before taking it down.

Scott Lushing raised to 250,000 from the button and Ory Hen called from the big blind.

The flop came down Kh6cKc and Hen checked to Lushing who bet 275,000. Hen check-raised all in and sent Lushing into the tank for about 90 seconds before he called all in for about 2,100,000.

Lushing led with kings and eights, while Hen had a flush draw. Lushing maintained his lead through the 2s turn, but the Jh fell on the river to give Hen kings and jacks, eliminating Lushing in second place for $71,775.
