Event 10: Down to the Final 20

$570 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 30: 50,000/100,000/15,000 Ante

Mukul Pahuja moves all in from the button with two short stacks in the blinds, and T.J. Shulman calls all in from the small blind for about 1.25 million with A-10. Pahuja turns over A-6, and Shulman needs his hand to hold to stay alive.

The board comes Q-J-x-6-6, and Pahuja pairs his kicker on the turn and rivers trip sixes to win the pot and eliminate Shulman in 23rd place.

Mukul Pahuja  –  4,550,000  (46 bb)
T.J. Shulman  –  Eliminated in 23rd Place  ($6,149)

Charles Simon was awarded the Short-Stack Survivor award for how many times he survived all-in situations with only a couple of big blinds to his name. But there is no physical award, just something we write in the updates, and even if it was a physical award, it wouldn’t have special protective powers. That’s a long way of saying that Simon busted out of the tournament — even cats only have nine lives.

Charles Simon  –  Eliminated in 22nd Place  ($6,149)

A hand or two later, Dusty Nelson followed Simon out of the tournament in 21st place.
