Event 1: Dan Suied finishes it off

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

No more hands were played after Raminder Singh was sent out of the tournament in 5th place. The four remaining players went on break and immediately began discussing a deal when they returned.

Tournament staff crunched the ICM numbers and they quickly found a way to chop up the remaining prizepool. Dan Suied’s big chiplead gave him the lion’s share of the money and was crowned champion of Event 1.

Stay tuned for the Event 1 recap.

Event 1: Raminder Singh Eliminated in 5th ($44,983)

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 35: 150k/300k/50k

Players were buying up the 5k chips for the color up break and everything was normal until three quick pre-flop bets.

Raminder Singh opened to 800,000 from the button and Dan Suied three-bet to 1,800,000. Singh didn’t wait long before announcing all-in and Suied called about as fast as possible.

Suied: AdKs
Singh: TsTh

They were racing and Suied was asking the dealer for an Ace in the door. It wasn’t the first card pealed but the next two were gold. AcKc9c put Suied in the lead and the 4d9h turn/river sealed the deal to send Singh out in 5th place for $44,983 while Suied moved into the chiplead.

Prior to that hand, David Smith temporarily took over the top spot from Reinaldo Tronconis when his AcTs gave him a 12 million chip pot on the ThTc2c2sJh board.

Seat 1: Brett Bader – 5,550,000
Seat 3: David Smith – 14,700,000
Seat 7: Dan Suied – 22,500,000

Event 1: Glen Cressman Eliminated in 6th ($35,831)

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 35: 150k/300k/50k

There was little action over the last level with Dan Suied picking up the only major pot with a three-bet shove against Raminder Singh.

The next battle saw Brett Bader raise to 600,000 from the button and Glen Cressman moved over the top for 6,115,000. David Smith let his hand go and Bader called after a moment of consideration.

Bader: JhJd
Cressman: As2s

Cressman was behind but picked up a lot of outs on the Qs8s3c flop. Bader needed to dodge the flush outs and overcard, the 7c turn was clean and he hit the unnecessary set on the Jc river.

The dealer counted down the stacks and Bader barely had Cressman covered to send him out in 6th place for $25,831.

Event 1: Steele Sutter Eliminated in 7th ($26,765)

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 34: 120k/240k/40k

Steele Sutter was the second shortest stack to start the day and moved in several times before finding a caller for a chance to double.

He moved all-in for his final 2.2 million with Ad2c and Brett Bader called in the big blind with JsJh.

The KsTh8s flop gave him no help and he was drawing dead on the Qs turn. Sutter did well to make it this far but was the next gone out, making $26,765 for his 7th place finish.

Event 1: Michael Tufaro Eliminated in 8th ($18,131)

$350 Deep Stack No Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)
Level 33: 100k/200k/30k

Michael Tufaro eventually showed up and last two hands before getting his chips in the middle.

“I thought it started at 3pm!”, was his explantion.

Raminder Singh opened for 425,000 and Tufaro came over the top for his final 1.1 million. Suied asked how much Singh was playing behind and shipped in to isolate. Singh folded and they tabled their cards.

Suied: TdTc
Tufaro: 8c5h

Suied was dominating but had a small sweat after the JcJd8h flop. The turn and river were a harmless Ad3d and Tufaro was the first out today, picking up $18,131 for 8th place.
