On the last hand of the night, Michael Jagroo shipped a 55k double-up across the felt, dropping his stack to 269k.

If he had won that pot, he would have won the chip lead bonus.  Folding that hand would not have helped, however, because Hany Ayoub bagged 356,500 to claim the $500 bonus as the Flight B Chip Leader.

Zack Goodman just missed out on the bonus, bagging 354,500, just 2,000 fewer than Ayoub.

After a limp and a raise, Robert ‘Carwash’ Williams called from the cutoff, only to have the small blind in seat 8 shove for ~85k.  The limper and raiser folded, then Carwash shoved his last 38,500 into the pot.

Board:

Carwash back-doored a flush to come from behind and more than double up.  He chipped up to about 110k.

The last few hands are playing out now and then they will bag & tag the chips for the night.

Hany Ayoub’s got 315k as they start the last level of the night.

Carlos Arabitg (pictured above) is close behind with ~300k.

Anything can happen during this final level, so that $500 chip leader bonus is still up for grabs.

Seminole Hard Rock Poker Player of the Year point leader Angel Vu got all-in on the river with the board showing .  Unfortunately for Angel, Frank Navin (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) held for the turned flush.

Angel mucked her hand and headed out.  Frank, a self-professed “PLO degenerate,” chipped up to about 220k.

We’ll be seeing a lot more of Angel during this series since she’s chasing points to try to stay atop the POY leaderboard.  At the end of this series, the POY will receive a prize package valued at over $30,000 that features entries and casino-based incentives for Seminole Hard Rock Poker’s most prestigious poker events throughout the following year including:

Level 12 has run out and players are enjoying their last break of the day.  They’ll return for 3 more levels, then bag up for the night.

There are about 98 players still in the hunt out of the 382 entries in this flight.  Average stack is approximately 78k.

During the previous level:

Three players check the turn with a board showing .  The dealer delivers the on the river, making a flush possible.  Seat 4 checked, seat 6 checked, then Hany Ayoub (cutoff) fired 12k.

After some thought, seat 4 called and seat 6 folded.  “You got the flush?” asked seat 4.  “No,” replied Ayoub, as he rolled over for a set.  Seat 4 mucked and the Miami businessman raked the pot.

He’s now up to ~200k and leading Flight B with four levels left to play.

The chip leader at the end of each starting flight earns a $500 bonus, so this is when the battle for the bonus begins in earnest.

Before the blinds went up:

With a flop of , two short stacks got all their chips in the  middle against Christian Rodriguez (Boynton Beach, FL).

The player in seat 9 held pocket Jacks, the lady in seat 7 had pocket 9s, and Christian had them both beat with pocket 5s for set.

That all changed with the on the turn, which gave the lady a straight.   Then another came on the river, giving Christian a full boat and sending both opponents packing.

With that pot, Christian chipped up to about 85k.
