With 33 minutes remaining in the level, the final three were bagging their chips for the night with plans to return for Day 3 at 3pm Thursday.

A chop was suggested and after some negotiating, a deal was made and the tournament was over.

Moe Maghraoui gets 1st place, the trophy, and framed photograph.  Joe Kuether gets 2nd place, and John DiBella takes 3rd.

Before the blinds went up, all three players saw a flop of 7 7 6 rainbow.  It was checked to Moe Maghraoui who bet 15k on the button.  John DiBella called, then Joe Kuether raised to 48k.  Moe folded and John called.

Turn was a Ten and both checked.  River was a King and John bet 95k.  Joe called.  John showed 75 for trips.  Joe showed J7 for trips with a better kicker to take the pot.

On a flop of 9s8s7c Corey Burbink checked, John DiBella checked, Moe Maghraoui bet 20k from the button, Corey raised to 50k, John folded, and Moe jammed.

Corey called all-in showing 6d5c for the straight.  Moe had JhTh for the top end of the straight and the nuts.  The last two came Ac2s and Moe took the pot, chipping up to ~800k and the chip lead.

Corey Burbink busted out in 4th place, earning $21,004.

On the last hand of the level:

Corey Burbink opened for 12k, Tyler Stafman called from the button, and John DiBella called from the small blind.

On the flop of JhTc2c John checked, Corey bet 20k, Tyler jammed, John folded, and Corey called.

Corey’s AhJs was ahead of Tyler’s Jc3c but Tyler ha a flush draw.

The last two fell 7s5h and was no help to Tyler.  He hit the rail in 5th place, earning $15,340.

The final four are taking a 15 minute break.

Tyler Stafman opened for 12k and John DiBella called.  The flop fell 8s3h3d.  Tyler bet and John called.  Turn was the 3c.  Tyler bet 30k and John called.

River was the 8h putting a full house on the board.  Tyler checked and John bet ~70k.  Tyler agonized over it, then folded.

A short while later, Moe Maghraoui was all-in for 52,500 and called by Tyler on the button.  Moe’s AJ was ahead of Tyler’s KQ, but the board ran out 8 6 5 7 9, putting a straight on the board to chop the pot.

Event 16: 6th Place – Luke Brereton

Luke Brereton got all-in for 77k and was called by Corey Burbick in the cutoff.  Luke’s 2s2c was racing against Corey’s AdJd.

The board peeled off 8 7 3 8 3, putting two pair on board and counterfeiting Luke’s ducks.  Corey chipped up to ~460k.

Luke Brereton busted out in 6th place, earning $11,800.

Luke Brereton was all-in again, this time for 22k, and got calls from Corey Burbick on the button and Tyler Stafman in the small blind.

They checked down the board of 7 6 5 9 3.  Tyler showed AT and Luke, who only looked at one card, showed his Ace, then peeled the second card — a Queen — to take the pot, tripling up to 78k.
