Daren Stabinski
There were a few fireworks at Table 30 with a lot of noise and laughs.
Former SHRP champ Daren Stabinski was all-in for 27,000 when the vocal local small blind player announced all-in himself, but action was still on Marc-Andre Ladouceur. He called Stabinski’s shove while small blind worked everything out.
Our small blind player was all-in for 12,200 and we had a three-way all-in pot.
Small blind: Stabinski: Ladouceur:
Ladouceur was in line for the double knockout until the flop, even the small blind players had a sweat. The turn had no impact and Stabinski picked up the big pot after the river.

Sheddy Siddiqui
Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Sheddy Siddiqui opened to 4,000 from middle position and picked up calls from Tony Dunst and Dani Dayan in the blinds.
Dunts and Dayan checked the flop and Siddiqui bet 8,500. Dunst released and Dayan called to the turn. They checked to the river and Dayan shoved with the bigger stack. Siddiqui quickly mucked his hand and Dayan is moving up the counts.

Darryll Fish
It’s slow going in the WPT Finale with only a handful of eliminations in the first level. We found a few new faces that weren’t around at bag up last night.
Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Darryll Fish was here very late playing down to the WPT Showdown Championship live-streamed final table of six but he’s back this afternoon trying to set himself up to potentially play two WPT final tables in consecutive days.
Also here, eight-time WSOP bracelet winner Erik Seidel after his 13th place finish last night. He was another pre-Day 2 entry for his 33 big blinds.

The numbers were crunched and the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Finale drew 349 players to the freeze-out tournament to create a prize pool of $3,315,500. They surpassed the $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and topped the 342 players from the inaugural event last year.
The last 44 players will earn a piece of the prize pool with a min-cash banking $16,833 and the WPT Finale champ taking home $716,088 along with the $15,000 WPT Tournament of Champions seat.

After a short delay to double check the accounting, the WPT Finale is underway for Day 2. The freeze-out officially drew 349 players to top last year’s number and push the prize pool over $3.3 million.
We have 17 players take the last Day 2 entry option including a few folks who might be a little tired today. Seminole Hard Rock Poker team member Darryll Fish was among the late registrants along with Dan Colman. Both were in the ballroom in the early morning hours playing down to the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Champion livestreamed final table, which Colman is leading when they restart their action in two days.

David Laka
The $10,000 WPT Finale is getting ready to kick off the second day of action and we’re still waiting on a final count on players in the big freeze-out event. They played eight full levels yesterday but registration will not close until they start back up for Day 2. It drew 332 players yesterday to easily surpass the $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool and push it over $3,000,000.
David Laka returns with the chip lead along with Matthew Haugen and Farid Jattin rounding out the list of players over 200,000. Day 1 was rough for the Seminole Hard Rock Poker team members with only Mukul Pahuja and Sheddy Siddiqui making it through, but Darryll Fish and Matt Affleck could be excused for their absence.
Affleck was busy making it down to seventh place in the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship with Fish making the live-streamed final table. We’ll see if either jumps in before registration closes if though they were playing into the early morning hours.
Once registration is locked down, we’ll have our final numbers and await the prize pool payout information.
They’ll kick things off for Day 2 at noon and we’ll be here from start to finish.

David Laka
Sunday was the start of the second World Poker Tour event on the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown calendar. The $10,000 WPT Finale has drawn a field of 332 players so far, with late registration still available until the start of Day 2.
David Laka leads after Day 1, ending atop the counts with 223,200 chips. Laka is followed by Matt Haugen (215,200) and Farid Jattin (203,600), and those three are the only three who ended with more than five times their starting stack.
James Romero
James Romero is right behind the trio of leaders, though. Romero turned his 40,000 starting chips into 196,000 by the end of the day, good for fourth place on the overnight leaderboard. Romero is a Season XV WPT Champion, winning close to $2 million for his victory at the Five Diamond World Poker Classic back in December. He’s put himself in a good position to compete for another title, but there’s a long way to go between now and the hoisting of the trophy.
Both the SHRP Team and the World Poker Tour were well represented in the field on Day 1. The day was mostly unkind to the patched-up players, though. Chance Kornuth, Faraz Jaka, Jared Jaffee, Matt Stout, and Loni Harwood are all among the 150 or so who were eliminated over the course of the day.
Sheddy Siddiqui
Mukul Pahuja did advance to Day 2, though, bagging up 85,700 chips. The same can be said for Sheddy Siqqiqui, who finished with 62,900 at the end of the night. The WPT’s Tony Dunst (120,300) and Mike Sexton (91,200) also survived the day.
The list of remaining heroes is too long to mention them all, but a complete leaderboard can be found in the posts below, along with the Day 2 seat draw.
A total of 176 players made it through the eight-level day, and a handful more are expected to enter straight into Day 2. Action resumes Monday with 600/1,200 blinds and a 200 ante, giving new players just over 33 big blinds with which to work.
Late registration closes when the cards go in the air at 12 p.m. sharp.
