WPT Alpha8: Level 10 Report

Blinds: 1,500-3,000 with a 500 ante
Players: 10 of 21

Level 10 at the World Poker Tour Alpha8 $100,000 super high roller event at the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open saw the exit of both Brandon Steven and Daniel Perper. We are now down to two tables of five players remaining in the tournament. Play will stop tonight if we reach the final eight or at 1 a.m. Perper was taken out by Jason Mercier when his A-J was dominated by A-Q on a preflop shove. Brandon Steven met his end on a three-way all in. His pocket aces were ahead of the pocket jacks of Matt Glantz and the pocket tens of Philip Gruissem, but the flop brought a jack to take out Steven.

Jason Mercier is down a little bit to 340,000 but he still holds the chip lead. Matt Glantz and Joseph Cheong now round out the top three with stacks close to 250,000.
