SHRPO Week 2 in Review

Week 1 of the 2021 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open was big but Week 2 went even bigger. The second week of the series featured 16 new primary events with a combined $1.4 million in guarantees that attracted more than 8,000 entries.

We awarded north of $5.3 million in prize money during those events with nine players cashing for $100K or better over the last seven days. Total prize money for the series reached $7,578,195 with a huge final week coming up.

The big winner in the non-Super High Roller category would be longtime regular Jeff Trudeau. He took down the 4,529-entry field in our $600 Deep Stack NLH Event 15 for $352,200. Trudeau has been cashing and winning big money here since he was old enough to play in our events but Trudeau never won a Hollywood major. He took care of that in a big way this week.

Chris Brewer beat the tough $50,000 Super High Roller field for $420,670 and the biggest cash of his career. With another Super High Roller on the schedule, he has a chance to double it up.

Other notable wins include YouTube social media star Masato Yokosawa coming from Japan and winning the first tournament he entered. Poker Room regular Pasquale Caiazza and Ducarmel Beaubien won their first major trophies and Donny Rubinstein won the Limit Omaha 8 Championship.
