After the three clashes between Miro and Balzano, Eddylee Martin and Gary Chapin decided to take each other on twice themselves.

In the major hand, Martin’s lost to Chapin’s leaving Martin in major trouble.  Shortly after that hand, Martin ended up all-in facing calls from Chapin and Balzano.  After Chapin and Balzane checked down a board,

Martin flipped up but Martin held .  Balzano mucked and Martin’s day ended with a 7th place finish and $942.

George Miro and Paul Balzano end up in a third major pot against each other off a flop.

Balzano held the lead but the set up a possible chop but Balzano hit the on the river and doubled back again through Miro.

George Miro isn’t letting this one go and did by taking most of his lost chips back from Paul Balzano.  After a flop, Miro bet 36k and Balzano came back over the top for around 100k.  Miro instantly went all-in and Balzano had to lay the hand down pitching two queens into the muck.  Miro showed a king and now is back to an overwhelming chip lead in this Seniors event.

David Smith fought as long as he could.  But riding an extremly short stack for what seemed like an eternity couldn’t last.

Smith ended up all-in vs. Eddylee Martin to determine his fate.

Smith was dominated and after a board, Smith ended his day in 8th place. Smith picks up $782 for the first payout of the tournament.

George Miro now has some serious competition.

Miro bet out 6k on a board and Paul Balzano made a massive overbet of 42k challenging Miro to try to finish him off.  Miro went all-in and Balzano put the rest of his stack in and in great shape.

With just two overcards, Miro did get a sweat with the and picked up two pair with a river but it wasn’t enough to catch up. Balzano now moves toward the top of the leaderboard as a legitimate contender to take down Event 6.

A huge hand set up the exit of Daniel Genachte on the money bubble here in Event 6.

Genachte pushed his short stack of 35k in and got a call from Bruce MacGregor’s shorter stack of 29k.

Genachte held onto hope for the help but a harmless left him with only 6k after the defeat. Two hands later, Genachte was knocked out in a three-way pot and exits in 9th. As a nice consolation, the players had taken up a cash donation to the bubble so Genachte at least picked up something for his efforts thanks to the generosity of the table.

Lady Luck was not on Lisa Levy’s side.  Levy pushed with and was loudly called by George Miro holding .

Levy was cheering for the ace but with the board running out , her run in this Seniors Event is over.

Players are now on break in Event 6 but not before a big collision between Bruce McGregor and Lawrence Bass.

On a , MacGregor put his tournament life on the line and Bass decided to answer the challenge.

MacGregor was feeling good after the giving him the flush but the hit on the river letting Bass catch the full house. MacGregor falls to the short stack at the table with ten to go. Eight cash and the winner takes home $7,498.

Jeff Kessler’s frustration trying to get through the chip wall of George Miro got the best of him.

Pre-flop, Bruce MacGregor raised to 3,200 and Kessler followed with a re-raise to 10k. Miro then went over the top to 20k. MacGregor folded and Kessler called.

On a flop of , Kessler immediately went all-in and Miro snapcalled.

Kessler got no help with an on the turn and the ended Kessler’s night in 11th.

On the last hand before dinner break, Jack ‘Team Snake’ Deutsch was eliminated when his set of 7s was beat by a gutter-ball on the turn.  He hit the rail in 13th place.

The final 12 are off on a dinner break for 40 minutes.  Average stack is 70k.  George Miro is the chip leader with 190,400.
