Cliff Josephy

Hollywood, Florida — Cliff Josephy is a pot limit Omaha champion following a win in Event 25 of the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open. The tournament boasted a $2,650 buy-in and drew 47 entries generating a $113,975 prize pool. For the outright win, Josephy scored $40,520.

Josephy was a dominating online player in the early 2000’s playing under the handle JohnnyBax, but it was his third-place finish 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event when he rose to fame. That score earned him $3,453,035 and he’s added a few million since topping out at just over $7,500,000 in reported live earnings.

The $40,520 Florida score Tuesday was modest for such a decorated player, but it came at the hands of a tough field in this mid-buy-in pot limit Omaha event.
